How to set the language to [not Japanese]

The game defaults to JP regardless of region. They don't use flags, so here is the option to change menu language.

So you clicked new game and can read "hai" "iie" and if you kept your duolingo streak, maybe "gemu". So lets press the back button and change the language.

Click options, since the main menu is in english by default.

then select "other".

The first option is language.



It is set to Japanese. Change it to [your preferred language]
