If the killer is pursuing you, even without any hooks, swiftly approach those who are working on generators, ensuring their pursuit takes precedence over yours. You need to be the most selfish player you can be. The moment a survivor does anything wrong by your standards, you disconnect; it is their fault, and they need to suffer with the consequences of their actions.

This is where step 1 and 2 really come into play. Not all killers are bright enough to tunnel even if you hand them the survivor on a silver platter. This is when u start SCREAMING for your Leon to take hits for you no matter what. You need to make sure you don't even get hit, not even once.
