Downgrade NOW!!!
Open the run menu [win+R],
type and enter into the run menu" steam://open/console/ ", then in your steam client you should be in the console menu.
Now enter " download_depot 617830 617831 1718632565497690274 "
Whilst you wait for the download to complete head to your SuperHot VR directory, copy all the files to another folder, for ease of explanation I'll refer to it as "OldSHVR"
When the download completes head to your Steam\steamapps\content\app_617830\depot_617831\ directory. (There is no progress bar so you'll either have to monitor steams download usage or just wait for the console to say the download finished)
Copy all the files in depot directory to the "OldSHVR" folder.
Now to run the game you can just make a shortcut of the exe file or just run the game directly.

That's it.

Excellent. I didn't read the post from 2021 but definitely didn't assume they just completely removed it. Their decision of course but I don't follow the logic. A toggle was perfectly fine, they could have had TW or something. I will probably be doing this as the "disturbing content" is the point of the story, you're SUPPOSED to be horrified.

yeah i still get the achievements after downgrading

Does doing the downgrade this way still allow getting the steam achievements?

I say a bunch of content but it's about 20 minutes worth at most. There's numerous cuts that disrupt the games flow and there was multiple parts about killing yourself that got removed, not just the ending.

You say it's "a bunch of content". Was there more than the final scene of killing yourself?

oh.. ok.Thanks for the info. I'm not a hardcore player of this game, but I get your grief. I played this in January when i purchased my VR and i finished the whole game. I don't think i will play it again anyway as there is so much content for VR out there.. and I have seen so little so far :SBHorse:
