I noticed there aren't too many guides for this game so I decided to take matters into my own hands, I'll probably make a guide for chest/boon locations as well if this one ends up being helpful. The last character you unlock I think qualifies as a spoiler so I tried to hide each part that has them in it. I've never really made a guide for anything before so feel free to leave some comments if I got something wrong or if anything just sounds weird.

Salamander 1/3
Character Needed: Yagi
As soon as you enter the maze and go through the first tunnel, you'll see one of those mystical lotus things.

It should be the first thing you see when getting up here, it's a bit hard to tell in this screenshot though since I've already collected it.


Salamander 2/3
Head directly south from the lotus and you'll find the next salamander chilling on a rock


Salamander 3/3
Stay on the path directly east of the lotus

Eventually you'll find the last salamander on the ground, I'll try to take screenshots in the future before I collect them so they're easier to see


Salamander 1/3
This one's hidden right where you first enter The Outskirts, there's a little opening here in between the fence

Drop down and you'll see the salamander


Salamander 2/3
Drop down again from where you found the first salamander and head to this huge stump


Hop across the water and the salamander's on the wall


Salamander 3/3
The last one is towards the entrace to the Royal Town

Do some platforming along the mushrooms and head up

Go along the tree towards the left, drop down south and the salamander will be right here



keep in mind that you'll need to finish the main quest both here and in the badger mines
Salamander 1/3
Head to where Romiet and Juleo are and use the green mushroom to get on this wooden platform


Jump onto the house and keep going along, eventually you'll get to this platform with the salamander in between some breakable items


Salamander 2/3
Character Needed: Lint
Head up to where the Lapwing Elder is and head east

You'll find a tunnel that requires Lint to dig through

There's another patch of dirt that Lint'll need to dig up and the salamander will be underneath



Salamander 3/3
This last one was pretty tricky to find (at least for me ;v;)
Head to the one building that's boarded up, it's in the eastern part of the village

The salamander's hiding in the house, all you gotta do is smack it through the wall

Salamander 1/2
Character Needed: Chloe
Head west from where you first enter The Outpost

Keep going down and you'll see a bunch of branches that Chloe can burn with her lanterns

Salamander 2/2
Head back towards the entrance and go north from there, you'll see a bunch of stone pillars that you can jump on

Salamander 1/3
Character Needed: Chloe
Keep heading south when you first enter The Undergrowth

Head down these stairs and then to the left, you'll see some branches that need to be burned


Do that and the salamander will be right behind it


Salamander 2/3
Character Needed: Lint
Now go back up and head east, cross this body of water

There's a dirt clump for Lint to dig up, the salamander's hiding underneath it



Salamander 3/3
Keep heading east from where you found the last salamander


Keep following the path and start to head north

The salamander's at the end sitting on a rock (I used the lanterns to make it easier to see)


Salamander 1/3
Character Needed: Chloe
When you first enter this area, head right towards this bounce shroom and keep heading east from there



Walk along the water and you'll see some burnable wood for Chloe to deal with, keep going and you'll find the salamander towards the top


Salamander 2/3
If you head west of the entrance instead of east, you'll find some shrooms you can jump on to get towards this building


Fall down the building to get to this mini dungeon looking area, the salamander's to the right of the chest


Salamander 3/3
Character Needed: Lint
Exiting the last area should put you right here

Jump down and head to the dirt pile to the right

The salamander's hiding underneath the dirt


Salamander 1/1
Character Needed: Chloe
Head directly east of where Logling Maple is and you'll see a wooden wall that can be burnt down


Have Chloe use her lanterns and then head down, the salamander's on the wall to the right (there's also a boon outfit for Chloe under that dirt pile)


Salamander 1/3
Character Needed: Yagi
Head directly east of the mines until you get to this area (ignore the mushroom soup my inventory's full)

Have Yagi use his psychokinesis or whatever to get up on the platform

Salamander 2/3
Keep going south 'til you get to this section with some crates

Do some sick parkour to get up, keep going south

Go down towards these mushrooms and you'll find the salamander on the last one


Salamander 3/3
You can get this one after you beat the boss here

Go towards the first mushroom and look down, you'll see a small platform with a bounce shroom

Head down there and keep going right, you'll find the salamander chilling on this rock

Salamander 1/3
Character Needed: Lint
Go east along the tracks and you'll find some dirt blocking the path

Have Lint dig through it and keep going, you'll come across these mushrooms


Hop along the mushrooms to get to this ledge, the salamander's on the wall in front of another dirt pile


Salamander 2/3
If you keep going down from where you found the last salamander, you'll eventually see another set of tracks with a rootling


Use the dough flattening machine to flatten loaf and jump over the gap to the right

Salamander 3/3
Make your way around back to the squashing machine and head north from there, you'll see another set of tracks, follow them to get to this minecart

You can't really tell from the screenshot but the salamander is hiding under the minecart, all you have to do is hit it

Salamander 1/1
Character Needed: Yagi
Head north to the center area where the Ember's hideout was

Keep going and you'll see a pipe to your right, climb on it and start to head east


Go up the stairs and you'll run into a trippy tulip that Yagi can mess with

Once you get past, the salamander will be towards the left on some junk

Salamander 1/2
When you first enter the farmlands, keep on the path and head north, you'll soon learn that the Plank Master has blocked the waterwheel and made it so the bridge stays up

You can't see it because it's something I've already done but just break the plank that should be around here

Go past the bridge and head a bit to the left, the salamander is on the ground


Salamander 2/2
Character Needed: Lint
Go back a bit and head west to where Lint's house is, there'll be a dirt clump blocking the path


Head upwards to where this mini wheat farm is and then go down the ledge

Salamander 1/4
When you first enter this area, head directly left

Keep going down this way and you'll find the salamander on the dock


Salamander 2/4
Character Needed: Yagi
If you keep heading east, you'll find out that the Plank Master has struck again, after dealing with that and hopping over some rocks, use the butterflies to get across

Keep going north and you'll see one of those hallucinogenic hydrangeas that Yagi can interact with

Once you get across, the salamander will be chilling on this stone


Salamander 3/4
Back at the spot where the butterflies drop you off, head up over to the sailboat and go across the river

Keep going along the path to the left and gradually make your way down south

The salamander, like the last one, is chilling on the stones


Salamander 4/4
This last one is really tricky to get and honestly made me go through a lot of hp items, go back to the butterflies and keep bothering them to get you picked up at around this spot

Not only is it hard to get them to actually pick you up, but making it to the ledge is worse, the goal is to get up on this ledge to the right (I forgot to take a screenshot up there the first time and I am NOT going through that hell again)

Just head south from there and eventually you'll find the salamander sitting on a rock near the water


Salamander 1/3
When you first enter the forest, head north right away

Keep going until you see this boulder, it's hard to see here but that's where the salamander is


Salamander 2/3
Character Needed: Yagi
Keep going north from there and up this wooden platform

Keep going east and you'll find a celestial carnation that Yagi likes

After grabbing the last one, go past this bridge and keep heading alllll the way south

You'll eventually find this wooden wall so burn it down

Make your way through Humble Heights until you get to this area towards west

Use the butterflies to make your way up the cliff, once you get to the top near the right, you'll be able to get a glimpse of the salamander

Jump down here, the salamander's hiding behind this rock


Salamander 2/3
Characters Needed: Yagi and Chloe
Start making your way north and up this platform

At the end you'll see an interdimensional flower, have Yagi do his thing

Start to make you way up this mountain side and have Chloe burn the wall down at the end

Go back down and you'll see this wooden platform towards the south, the salamander's underneath it, jump down to get it



Salamander 1/3
This first one's right at the entrance, head to the southern part of the wooden platform

Walk the plank and the salamander will be to the right on a rock


Salamander 2/3
If you head north from the entrance, you'll eventually find this platform here

There's another little island on the bottom, jump down and the salamander will be there


Salamander 3/3
Keep making your way North

Go past the tree and onto the mini cliff, this salamander's kinda out in the open



Salamander 1/2
Character Needed: Lint
Right when you first enter the village, there's a platform over here to the right

Jump down and head to this dirt clump that Lint can dig through

Allll the way north of the village is another one of those phantom ruby lilies that Yagi can mess with

The salamander's at the end next to some bamboo

Salamander 1/2

Start to make your way down until you get to this section here where the wall is broken (or you can keep going down the stairs if you wanna be slow)

If you go east from here you'll see a dirt clump for Lint to dig through

Get through and the salamander will be at the end


Salamander 2/2
Keep progressing through the area, the next salamander is found shortly after you use some butterflies to get to a higher point, get to the edge right here and drop down

It should put you right here, keep heading east

Use the vases to jump onto the statue and the salamander will be right there


Both salamanders in this area can be found pretty quickly
Salamander 1/2
Make your way through this area and after you pass the save point, go right instead of left

Go all the way to the end and the salamander's chilling on this statue thingy


Salamander 2/2
Character Needed: Alfie
This time go to the left

At the end you'll see some stairs going down, turn to the left and you'll see a hook you can grapple on to

The salamander's in front of the chest


Make sure you get all the levers pulled in this area, there should be 3 of em
Salamander 1/2
Character Needed: Yagi
Make your way through the area, this salamander's found near the end, after platforming along some thin platforms you should see this area up north with one of Yagi's acid weeds

Go up the stairs and start heading west where the moving platforms are, use the second one to get to a higher point

Move along this section and drop down once you reach the end

Go left and the salamander will be on the table


Salamander 2/2
Character Needed: Yagi (kind of)
Now go alllll the way back to the beginning where the 'mander lady is, head north from there

Walk along the wooden platforms and make your way east until you get to this imaginary iris, don't go across though, instead you want to fall down from it (I think you technically don't need Yagi to make the jump but I did it anyway)

It should land you right here, keep going east and you'll find the salamander



Salamander 1/1
Character Needed: Yagi
This one you can find almost right away, once you reach the save point head south

You'll run into an astral azalea so have Yagi do his thing

Go up the stairs and north from there where you'll come across another one

The salamander's on the table inside this little hut thing


If you haven't figured out how to get here yet, you need to do the sidequest for Alfie to get the vault key

Character Needed: Alfie
You'll need Alfie to get through most of this area, after you grapple up here you can use this statue to get up to this ledge where the salamander is (I think you're supposed to go around and drop down but you can cheese it pretty easily)

Salamander 1/3
Character Needed: Lint
Head north of the save point, there's a dirt clump near the pond to the left


I forgot to take a screenshot of it like a dingus but the salamander's on the rock past it


Salamander 2/3
This time go south of the save point, there'll be a section here where the fence is missing

Drop down and the salamander will be right there


Salamander 3/3
Head to the cabin that's next to the entrance to Misty Woods

Start to go southeast and you'll find a little path that leads to the salamander


I think I'mma struggle to explain these
Salamander 1/3
Keep following the white rabbit to make your way through the woods

Once you come across this section right here, go left instead of right

You should pass a mini graveyard if you went down the right path, keep going north and the salamander will be on the ground


Salamander 2/3
Keep following the rabbit until you get to this section of flowers (it should be the first one you see when you start going north)

They should put you on the 2nd ledge of this area here below the chest, the salamander's at the end

just hop down to get back to the forest

Salamander 3/3
Character Needed: Chloe
Once you get to the end of the woods, there should be a flammable wall towards the left

Once you get past it, the salamander will be towards the top (I swear I had a screenshot from before I collected it but it must've gone to the shadow realm)


Salamander 1/3
When you first enter the village, head southeast of the save point

Walk past Shadow the Hedgehog Kakoi, and the salamander will be to the right of the cabin


Salamander 2/3
This time go directly north of the save point, all the way to the tour bus

The salamander's at the back of the bus to the left


Salamander 3/3
Character Needed: Yagi
If you haven't figured out how to get past the gate that's in the eastern part of town, you basically gotta turn Loaf into burnt toast using the bonfire

Go up and you'll see one of Yagi's psychic peonies

After you get up, go south at the first chance you get and the salamander will be to the right of Prof. Beryl

You're gonna have to once again burn the loaf when you first enter this area from High-Ice Hamlet

Once you get past the gate, start to make your way northeast

Once you see the mini river, head southeast of it and you'll find this opening here between two fences

Drop down and the salamander will be right there


Salamander 1/2
Character Needed: Chloe
Once you enter the springs, make your way north until you see this wall that can be burned


Get past it to get to the salamander


Salamander 2/2
From where you found the last salamander, start to head east along this wooden path (ignore the pear)

Once you get to the end, make your way south and up the platform here

Now this next part is a tad bit tricky but still possible, use the bonfire to jump over the gap to the left

Keep making your way south after getting across the gap

Hop to the platform to your right once you get to the end, the salamander will be over there

Salamander 1/2
This one's pretty easy, just head right when you first enter this area

The salamander's at the end on a rock


Salamander 2/2
Character Needed: Chloe
Start to head north and you'll see some wooden planks behind this ice pond

Skate on past it and the salamander's just right there


Salamander 1/2

When you first enter the area, head north past Cornelius and there'll be a painting to your right that can be burned

Get through that and the salamander will be right here


Salamander 2/2
This one requires the kitchen key, once you get that make your way to the kitchen

Go all the way to the right where the fridge is, jump on the shelves near it to get on top

Do some platforming along the lights to get to the salamander that's at the end

Character Needed: Yagi
Head directly to the left once you first enter

Enter the room and there'll be an LSD Lily to your south, have Yagi do his thing and jump up on the shelves


Keep heading right and the salamander will be on the other side of this light


Salamander 1/1
Head left after entering this area

There's a pile of junk that you can climb on, use it to get to the ceiling


Make your way to the right and the salamander will be right here


Salamander 1/1
Go directly east when you first get down here, there's a barrel right here that can be pushed

After pushing it, use it to climb up here

Start to make your way through and the salamander will be at the end


Salamander 1/1
Make your way north after entering this area from the basement

After burning your way through the gate that's at the end, go left and make your way south

Salamander 1/2
Head directly right when you first enter this area

Start to go south a bit and you'll find these rocks you can jump along

Once you get to the end, the salamander will be chilling on this rock


Salamander 2/2
Character Needed: Yagi
This time head west from the entrance

Keep heading down that path and cross the bridge to the east

There'll be another bridge to the north with a magical marigold for Yagi to summon

Get across and the salamander will be hiding behind this rock


Salamander 1/3
Go along the southern bridge when you first enter this area

You'll get to this center area of the town, go north from there to get to this tavern

Go inside and in the upper right corner you'll see some barrels you can jump on, use them to get above the cabinet and make your way west

There's a mini balcony thing here with the salamander


Salamander 2/3
Keep heading east of the tavern

Go down the stairs and get onto the sailboat here

It'll take you right to the mini island with the salamander


Salamander 3/3
Character Needed: Alfie
Head back to the center part of town and go southwest from there

There's a mini dock here with a sailboat, get to it

You'll need to have Alfie grapple onto the hook up here, the sail can get in the way so it might take a few tries

Jump down to the island on your right and the salamander will be right there


This is another area that you can't access until you get Alfie
Salamander 1/3
Characters Needed: Yagi and Alfie
Head directly north when you first enter the area, there're some of those see-through sunflowers that Yagi can manifest

Go northwest from there and you'll find a hook to grapple onto

Use it to get on top of the house, there's a hole you can drop down in to get inside where the salamander is (just hit the wood planks to leave)


Salamander 2/3
Character Needed: Yagi
If your coming back from the last 'mander then you don't need Yagi, go east of the stairs you used to get up here, you'll find two poles that you can jump across

Take a leap of faith to the right and you should land on this dock right here

Keep going along and the salamander will be on a palm tree


Salamander 3/3
If you go down from the last salamander you can hit this plank right here to get across (or alternatively you can just go east of the entrance to this place if you skipped the last 2 salamanders for some reason)

Keep going north from there, after hopping over some gaps you'll reach the salamander on this boat


Salamander 1/1
Make your way to the very end of this area, drop down this giant hole here

It should put you right here, drop down to the right

Go left and you'll find the salamander

Salamander 1/2
Make your way through the area, go south and then west

Hop to the second platform to the left

Keep going and the salamander will be at the end


Salamander 2/2
Character Needed: Alfie
Go back to where you were and go along the south path

You'll need to use Alfie to grapple onto the hook to the right (I already did so this path is open here)

The salamander's on the other side

Make your way through the area and go up this water stream


Keep going north from there and you'll find a mystical lotad, use it to get to the teleporter

Once you go through it, you'll find the salamander to the left


Salamander 1/2
Make your way up and once you get to this area here, walk along the arteries

Once you get to the end, the salamander will be to your left


Salamander 2/2
Character Needed: Yagi
Drop down from there and go north, you'll need to go through this teleporter here

Go left and drop down right here

The salamander's on the wall to the left (you'll have to use Yagi to get back up)


Salamander 1/1
Character Needed: Lint
Start to head allllll the way north

Once you get to the area with the teleporter, head to the right and jump along the platforms

The last platform will have a dirt pile, dig through it to find the salamander



Salamander 1/1
Go down the south path when you first get here

Start to make your way all the way up north

Go to the right and you'll find the salamander


Salamander 1/2
Character Needed: Alfie
You won't need Alfie to get to the salamander but you will need her to leave this section, head straight to the right when you get to this area and drop down

The salamander will be right there on the ground


Salamander 2/2
Keep making your way through to the east until you get to this part right here, drop down to the right

There'll be a teleporter down there that you can use, go through it

Keep going to the right and then you'll find the salamander on this... artery... wall?


Salamander 1/1
This one's pretty simple, just head all the way to the right

The salamander's just out in the open (ignore the cake my bag is full)
