Enable quick saves
In challenge mode, quick saves are disabled, which can make them really hard to do.

Except for mission 11, in which one challenge changed (from kill all enemies, which is impossible, to don't use sniper riffle), you can restore an old version of the game that had quick saves in challenge mode (it was a bug in the original version that was fixed since).

To do so, just download the version from 22/10/2021 on this website : https://steamdb.info/depot/1101791/manifests/

And replace your files. Then you can start the game and use quick saves.

FYI : here's are the patch note for the 22/10/2021 version: https://steamdb.info/patchnotes/7583441/

As you can see, you MUST use this version because it fixes a bug in mission 2 that prevents challenges to unlock.

I cannot agree more that challenge mode is difficult enough to not be able to save, so with this technique, you can do most of the challenges with quick saves and do only the remaining ones without.

Chapter 9 also fails challenge when you kill the gate guards required for objective.
In Chapter 10 challenges are fine but the truck gets stuck and the third sniper is a bit out of reach of your guns so you cannot save like 10 minutes like the youtube walkthoughs. You need to use the panzer anti tank with Ewald and you need to also destroy the machine gun nest while the artillery is firing else you fail it. It is gonna be a close one.

I did, I have all the achievements and make a lot of challenges with this build. Not all, and sometimes you have to find your own way despite the guide I posted.
You can sitill get back to most recent build, best of luck

This is making me miserable... Cdie did you even test this build? Chapter 4, 7, 11, 12 have broken challenges. And I still have not attempted 8, 9 and 10 yet.

Indeed, a lot of bugs in early builds, but you can check other challenges and keep some for recent builds

This works but beware that the build that allows you to quicksave also comes with a myriad bugs that were fixed later, including quality of life fixes. It also has at least 2 bugged achievements. When you get all challenges however you can uninstall the game and reinstall the newest build and these achievements should pop when you launch or exit the game. Even with the quicksave enabled the challenges are not easy so prepare for a challenge.
