Here is a guide for users who are playing manor lords on steam or xbox game pass pc. and want to transfer saves between platforms.

Xbox Game Pass Save Location:

C:\Users[Your username]\AppData\Local\Packages\HoodedHorse.ManorLords_znaey1dw2bdpr\SystemAppData\wgs\0009000003E14B67_0000000000000000000000006677A913

Steam Save Location

C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\ManorLords\Saved\SaveGames - in this folder you will see a few files. like custom_coat.png and the saveGame_x.png files. keep these in there.

head into the packages folder in appdata/local!

In C:\Users[Your username]\AppData\Local\Packages\HoodedHorse.ManorLords_znaey1dw2bdpr\SystemAppData\wgs\0009000003E14B67_0000000000000000000000006677A913

you will see files like this. the most recent times is your newest save.
2 folders with the same time stamp are both the save. so head in each folder. leave the container.5 file. they arent needed.

one save file should be over 2000KB size. and the other should be 2KB in size. (not the container file)

move both the files with long names to the steam save location

move the 2000kb file and the 2kb file to

C:/users/[yourusername]/appdata/local/manorlords/saved/savedgame

folder. and name the 2000+kb file to the same name as the save png name

example:

saveGame_1.sav

and the 2kb file needs to be named the same but as follows:
saveGame_1_descr.sav
as shown below!

FInished!

now fire up the steam game. and click on load. if all went successful. your save png. file should be there. have fun.
