Introduction + Basics
So, welcome to gourmand. You have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea how to make sense of the massive crafting chart or how to remember it all without looking at the wiki everytime you go to make a obscure item. Well, worry less!!! this guide contains a few helpful recipes to assist you on your fat slug journey, as well as some extra info.
Before we can start doing black magic, you must know the mechanics of it first, this section is mainly for new players and revision (with a few trivia sprinkled in) so feel free to skip past if you already know how to craft, make meals, and regurgitate.
All trivia included will also be at the end of the section if you'd like to read it

Crafting
To craft, hold 2 unique items then hold up + grab to create a new item. You can make all sorts of things with this, not limited to just items! Certain holdable creatures like infant centipedes and grapple worms are in the crafting pool as well. Doing this with two food items will cause a different result which will be explained in the subsection.
Meals
This is an extension to the Crafting section,
Crafting with two unique food items will instead turn into a Meal, consuming both food items and giving an extra food pip.
The food pip bonus will always be one no matter how much the two food items gave originally.
Regurgitation
With at least one food pip and nothing stored in your stomach, hold grab to use up one food pip and regurgitate a random item from your stomach. Certain items are rarer than others, batnip being the most common and pearls being the least.
If you have no food pips gourmand will instead faint for a split second.
Tables
Gourmand crafting Table and probability chance for regurgitation.
Trivia!
  • Other slugcats can craft as well using the expedition "item crafting' perk.
    • Regurgitation is not included in this perk.
    • Artificer can't enable it and spearmaster can't create meals.
    • There used to be a bug that allowed saint to eat a batfly alone for 2 food pips using meals.
  • Unpopped bubblefruits are counted as rocks when crafting.
  • Rocks, bluefruits, dandelion peaches and eggbugs can't be obtained from crafting or regurgitation.
  • Grapple worm and snails are the only craftable creatures that slugcat cannot hold two of at once.
  • Spears and their variants cannot be crafted.
  • Pearls, overseer eyes and neurons are not very good for crafting, as they can only craft 2 different items.
    • Pearls only have one recipe that they can be used in.
  • A majority of the food quest items can be crafted with just crafting regurgitation, so any popcorn plant can significantly decrease your time travelling to other regions for a specific food!
General Recipes
These crafting recipes can be used in more than one situation, each recipe may include a subrecipe which stems off from the original one.
Apologies if it looks off! im still updating the guide with gifs and more recipes
