At the end of the 50s, most of the maneuvers and movements within the large stations were carried out by steam locomotives, generally in 0-2-0 and 0-3-0 running, which in many cases were already reaching 90- 100 years of service, to replace them, a new small diesel tractor that was easy to operate and handle was sought. The chosen model was developed jointly by the majority of the large Spanish construction companies (La Maquinista, Euskalduna and Macosa) in collaboration with the state truck company ENASA-Pegaso, which provided the engines (derived from the Pegaso 1063/1065 trucks).
The first units were delivered in 1959, and painted in a Yellow and Red livery, although the yellow was quickly changed to dark green. From 1971 the series was renamed to 301 and painted on the unified green-yellow livery.
This mod adds the RENFE versions, in yellow, dark green and unified green-yellow liveries as well as the versions for private companies (Electromecanica de Malaga, Tudela-Veguín Cement plant and generic liveries for mines and factories).
This pack replaces the original 301 mod published years ago, the old mod will not be removed, but it is recommended to change to this version.
