The end of the game always made me sad, so I wanted to do something with the stuff I had (I have 0 drawing skills so i just reused kikiyama's textures and downloaded some from online). You can call this a "good ending mod" i guess but im just trying heal my inner child lol.

I downloaded rpg maker 2003, learned how stuff works in a day and started modifying the game. I didn't touched any part of the game except the ending and credits, it is still the same game.

Also, there is not so much deep thought gone into why I put the characters together in the credits. I love Gobou's animations and i like to imagine all of them as friends that's all.

• I repurposed and placed some of kikiyama's original textures in some places.
  
• Tv on madotsuki's room doesn't stay on when interacted with it anymore it just flickers.
  
• Fixed some of the effect names and descriptions according to the wiki.

  >> Poniko appears on kitchen side in living room, interacting with her rolls the credits(Which is also changed, since madotsuki doesn't takes her own life anymore.)

First of all, the original Steam English version of the game must already be installed on your computer.

Then you go to the "[Wherever your steamlibrary folder is]>steamapps>common> Yume nikki" and delete Yume nikki folder.

Download the mod file:

Then with the .rar file you downloaded, extract it from .rar and copy paste it to the exact same folder (under >common>)

After all of this you should be good to go. You can go to steam UI and hit the play button and the game will start.

Since I first played and finished this game in 2017, the ending always made my heart break. All this time, she was just lonely and had no one to talk with. At the end, she thought the world was not even as colorful as her dreams, and decided to sleep for one last time.

Madotsuki doesn't takes her own life anymore. I purposefully wandered around the balcony in the video to show that stairs don't show up this time.

She talks to Pinoko; maybe Madotsuki is telling her about the bad dreams she had; maybe something else; who knows? But at least this time, she is not alone.
