Unskilled in combat, Sufferay attempts to escape from the nightmarish battlefront and tries to rescue humans caught up in the war along the way, forming a colony of exiled survivors.
Until the time of Dracula's defeat arrives, and under Dracula's curse, blood rains from the sky for seven days and seven nights.
Exposed to the rain of blood, the entire colony died, and Sufferay could only watch helplessly as the humans were consumed by the rain of blood before he lost consciousness.
After that, Sufferay's remains were laid to rest in a crypt southeast of Farbane Woods. After a long slumber, Sufferay was able to reawaken under the influence of unknown forces, but unfortunately he has lost his memories.
Currently, Sufferay lives with his minions in the cold wasteland of eastern Vardoran: the hallwowed mountains.
Right now he is unaware that Dracula's servants are trying to resurrect their dark monarch, or of the impending disaster that Vardoran is facing.
He's simply built an ornate-looking but impractical castle as a residence, captured a human or two of his choice as his companions, and enjoys a life of solitude in the snowy eastern wilderness.
He has an excess of goodwill toward humans or vampires alike, and a trust that should not be freely shown. The vampires who come into contact with him consider him too weak and too kind, and have nicknamed him "Duke Marshmallow".
This is because he even encounters dogs and peasants in the countryside, and they beat the crap out of him. He never kills his targets that he sucks blood from, at most he makes them fall to the ground from anemia and slinks away.
