The only issue with this is that if you let go of the button while the brakes are still applied, the brakes will get locked in the current position until you press the button again and reset the brakes manually by letting the pedals centre.
To set the brakes up this way:
Add:
- "axes to axes" and "button to filter"
- Set the high and low axes on the "axes to axes" to your throttle and clutch pedals.
- Set the output axes to vJoy "Y" and "Z"
- Set the button filters "filter name" to "filter"
- click on the "add filter" -icon, next to the trash can icon on the "axes to axes" and write "filter" into the "filter name" -field and press "accept"
- In the filter settings, set the input button to a momentary button on one of your controllers.
- Set the "button down filter state" to "Active" and the "Button up filter state" to "inactive"
- Save and press the play button, and you are ready to go.
Hope this helps!
The best way to use the clutch and accelerator for the wheel brakes that I found was using a "button to filter" and an "axes to axes". I set them up in a way where, normally, when using the pedals, no brakes are applied, but when the button is pressed, both of the pedals start controlling the wheel brakes until the button is no longer pressed down. The rudder is still controllable while the brakes are being used. This way, you can use the individual wheel brakes for steering while still being able to steer using the rudder.
