Open your explorer

1. Open your explorer
2. go to C -> Users -> YOUR NAME -> Saved Games -> metro exodus -> 76561198843326670
3. open user.cfg
4. inside the document press CTRL + F and search for "r_fullscreen"
5. write off instead of on
6. save it

Concratilations you now play Metro in Window mode!

Custome resolution

1. leave the same document open
2. search for r_res_hor
r_res_vert
3. now you can use a costom Resolution if your like me with a Ultra wide monitor here are:
HD: 1280 x 720
FHD: 1920x1080
2K/WQHD: 2560 x 1440
4k/UHD: 3840 x 2160

small rant: 2k and 4k are not the correct terms for those 2 resolutions but people refer to UHD often as 4k but if you do that for WQHD you are not a true gamer (statements i actually heard uff)
