True, but I wanted the "telescopic" leg functionality like in the original illustrations. When I tried to use the slider, piston, or muscle tool, the smaller leg cylinder spazzes out like crazy if a foot is welded to it when it touches the ground. Believe me, I tried to make it using those methods and have the functionality, but the shitty physics engine prevented me. To make it easier to pose, you can always weld the foot to the leg if you want, its what I do.
