Renfe Serie 100

The 100 series is Renfe's first dedicated high-speed train. Built by Alstom, this train is a direct derivate of SNCF's TGV Atlantique, shortened to 8 passenger coaches and better suited for Spain's climate. This train achieved a record maximum speed of 356,8kph (221,7mph) without any modifications, a record it held for 15 years. 2 units can be coupled together to form a 400m train with 16 passenger coaches.
