First, sorry i am 42 and school is a bit ago, my english is a bit rusty.

Second, this is my first and probably last time i wrote here so honestly i am too lazy now to read how to make a spoiler, learn the text-editing shortcuts and so on... so don´t read any further because the thing with the big blue fish could make the game way less challenging!

So, first, the tile pattern seem to repeat at 76 tiles. I found out by simple checking, so this could find out anyone, and isn´t a big thing, but if you don´t know, now you know.

So if you find a heart at let´s say depth 48, you mostly will find a heart at depth 48+76= 124 too. Sometimes not because the patterns seem to repeat vertically, but not horizontally.

So you find a heart at y48 x12, the next heart is at y124, but maybe x3, or "out of map", or a space for big crates appear and then the next heart is gone. Or pressure-chest, or dynamite...

THE BIG BLUE FISH!!!

I say again, don´t read further because it could make the game less challenging. I am not at big tier big gas planets end game yet, so maybe this trick is less usefull because even with the trick you would need other things to keep speed/pressure down, but... well... i just stumbled over this at playing and lol... it worked.

So monsters stop moving if you are a bit away from them. But not this big blue fish thing.

He stop chasing your drill, but don´t stop moving. So use him. I found one at the beginning of a drilling, he came up from below. I half-circled around him in the middle, so he move STRAIGHT downwards after me now.

So i started to get a bit distance between me and him with drilling straight more down, and then i drilled to the side so he lost focus on me, and i went back up, kinda sneaking around him.

So he stopped chasing me, but still went STRAIGHT down.

I thought ok, lets wait a bit, i made a fresh coffee, came back, and it worked hehe.

This big blue mofo ate all the way down to the core and then disappeared because he ate himself into the void after the core... ^^ Or yeah, more like to the other side of the globe.

This could be useful for lazy runs or at best on big gas giants levels. I read that they are very hard at endgame, maybe this makes it a hot knife through butter run. If they, like some wrote in discussions, that they are almost Impossible, this could help your hair don´t get gray. I think i will try without this first, and if i get frustrated i will use big blue fish all the way down eater lel....

I am 100% sure you don´t need to catch him at the beginning, you can also use this in the middle of the depth or anywhere, but i just catched him at the beginning on my try.
