The Swedish Air Force in 1954, The hawker hunter was sold to dozens of countries across nearly every continent.
Sweden purchased 120 Hawker Hunter Mk 50s, which were essentially Mk 4s designated for export to Sweden. The Swedish Air Force designated them as J.34 aircraft

Sweden’s decision to purchase the Hawker Hunter was influenced by its adaptability, export success, and the need for a capable fighter aircraft. The Hunter served Sweden well and left a lasting legacy in aviation history
