The Izba project was approved by the Consolidation Council as part of the Expansion Initialive when the Unstoppable class ships were just starting to roll off the shipyards. Designed for rapid construction, the first series of outposts began their existence within the Core Worlds, where as new opportunities arose, so did new settlers eager to take advantage of them

Although the outposts were originally intended for the autonomous stay of colonists on remote areas of Outer Planets Consolidation territories, they were soon used in the development of existing settlements as well. With its high autonomy, its own landing pad, access to primary systems from the outside, and the ability to use a variety of cargo rovers, Izba became a popular building outside the OPC as well. Small batches of construction kits with assembly schemes gradually began to be sold by Consolidation as domestic demand began to fall. Some of the larger corporations, that later became the basis for the Aenum Republic, requested private upgrades, such as larger cargo hold and no solar panels, which is why recognisable silhouettes of Consolidation buildings can still be found on various planets outside the OPC

The last of the Izba modifications received updated solar panels, an improved medical bay and new cryo-chambers manufactured by a division of Keplar Star Holding. Due to their simplicity, these modifications have also been applied to older models, thus significantly extending the life of the outposts
