What is IAv1?

IAv1 - Ingenious Architecture v1
It's a structure type of Bot Maker for Discord. It prevents old projects from breaking!

What architecture do old projects use?

Old projects use Uningenious Architecture - it's a structure the old version of Bot Maker for Discord uses. It's a mix of what's new and what's old, dating back to 2023 january.

Why was the change from UIA to IAv1 made?

Even new projects - including the fresh ones have a lot of backwards compatibility code, which slows everything down and creates inconsistencies. IAv1 keeps everything modifiable on the fly, modern and fast!

How To Switch

DISCLAIMER
Switching to IAv1 WILL break your project. Do not do it unless you're ready to start over!

First, open settings:

And then, select the "Update Project To @latest"

After that, you will receive a modal warning you about everything that could happen. Please read it carefully, it is not long.

If you've hit "Continue", congratulations! You're now a IAv1 user - you should have received a badge <3
