HOW TO GET 𝙈𝙊𝙍𝙀 FPS ON HELLDIVERS 2
By PAXX
This is my first time actually making a guide on any game. But i really wanted to give you this option just in case the game is unplayable for you, or anyone. Even with a bad gpu like 6500 XT 4 GB (Can't even run AAA games for more than 40 FPS) Now my friend can play the game with 120 FPS with minimal input lag. Or not at all.

Here is a quick guide about it:

【FOR AMD USERS】

Firstly. Try to get more fps by watching guides ( Power mode to high performance, Enabling game mode in windows, closing unused apps, adding the game to the graphic settings in windows and selecting your GPU, etc. ) but definetly do the things that they are telling ONLY if you know what it does.

Install the game on a SSD if you have one. Update your GPU to the latest. ( Recent AMD update maked my friends 6500 XT GPU get more FPS ) Update your BIOS, and don't forget to check your ram clock speed through bios.

If you are an AMD user, you can use AMD FLUID MOTION FRAMES or ''AFMF'' in short. Just open your GPU's driver program ( a.k.a Radeon Software ) and double your fps. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥! You need to get a stable FPS in game and only the radeon FPS counter will show you the TRUE FPS not anything else. I really don't know how to fully use AFMF, but you can watch many guide videos about it. It's not hard to understand.

In summary, there is many settings for it. Since i am not a AMD user, i do not know what settings you CAN turn on and what you CAN'T, Or what you should do in general. I really don't want to put you in a bad situation. I just wanted to let you know that you have THIS option to boost your FPS. I also heard that AFMF disables itself for a couple of seconds If you turn your mouse or controller too fast. You can watch this guide about it to get a better understanding. Credit to 𝘼𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙂𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙨 Video is under the guide.

I can give you some tips though. It might work.

1- Try to set your sharpness to 0 Maybe it will give you more fps. ( I saw a comment about it that it decreases the weight on your GPU )
2- Put your resolution to specifically 1440x900 then put it back to original. ( You need to do that everytime you are done with a mission )
3- While in the ship, it eats your FPS for some reason and i don't know why. So land on a planet and see if that changes anything.
4- Close your discord or whatever you are using first. THEN open the game after. Programs like discord lowers your FPS. But if you open it after, for some reason, it dosen't lower your FPS. ( Also saw it on a comment )
5- Disable hardware acceleration if you are using discord, there is 2 same setting under the Sound & Video and Advanced.

There is not many things that you can do if you are an AMD user, but know that the game is unoptimized and also the anticheat causes some problems. I am sure they will get fixed, even though for minimum specs, it says RX 470 (bruh)

【FOR NVIDIA USERS】

Now for Nvidia users, you have more options to boost your fps. But also do the performance guides and lower your graphic settings in the game. You can also do the other things i've mentioned in the AMD part in this guide. Besides the AFMF.

In summary, this guide helped me get more fps so all the credit goes to 𝐊𝐣𝐞𝐥𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬 please give him the all ''THANK YOU'' in the reddit :

The link is under the guide.

Do exactly the guide. It will give you a good boost. But beware, as of now. Using DX11 didn't boost my performance. It was giving me MORE fps BEFORE. but now. It dosen't, so i am using the original DX12. ( Using a NVIDIA MSI GAMING Z TRIO 3060 )

Just test these things overall and see what's best for you. No setting will result the same for you or anyone else.

【THE BIG SOLUTION】

Given up yet after all of that ruckus? You shouldn't, because i've got one last trick up in my sleeve.

Buy Lossless Scaling in steam. Altough AFMF (read amd part if you don't know what AFMF means) and Lossless scaling depends on your monitors refresh rate . It's cheap and it should work on any game besides Helldivers 2. It's easy to use. Boosts your FPS as long as you get a stable FPS.

Let's say that you have a 144 HZ monitor. And you are getting constant 70+ fps. Lock it to 72 with RivaTuner program. Then enable Lossless scaling. It will double your FPS to 144. And maybe you can tinker with the graphic settings so that you can set your graphics higher. Also enable the steam or any other FPS counter overlay. Lossless scaling FPS counter and your original FPS counter is different.

Instal RivaTuner Statistics Server so that you can lock your fps. I don't know if you can use other methods to lock your FPS to make it work.

Rivatuner is free by the way.

Lossless scaling is fairly more easy to use and i can almost guarantee that you will get significantly more FPS. But if your original fps gets lower, your Scaled FPS will drop also.

Remember that using this program makes you lose your original fps by a little amount. Test it and you will see.

Now with this program, I really don't know if it is causing a input lag or not, but that is actually for the better, since it is barely noticable even if there is input lag.

【HOW TO USE LOSSLESS SCALING】

Now the Scaling mode on the left is depending on what do you want to use. But i am keeping it auto ( That should mean native ) on helldivers. If you want, you can use this program to Upscale games too.

I am reccomending LS1 on the 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐲𝐩𝐞 because it performs the best on my end. But for different games, let's say a pixelated game, 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐲𝐩𝐞 setting should be different but i don't know what setting that should be.

Remember to open ''Draw FPS'' on the bottom to see your FPS. Like i've said, the other FPS counters will NOT show you your true FPS.

I am recommending to watch this video to understand Lossless Scaling better, since i fully don't know what i am talking about. I am just here to give you the options, like the 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐱 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬. Credit to 𝐇𝐲𝖇𝐫𝖊𝐝 ✪ The video is under the Guide.

If you want, you can help me to make this guide better overall. This was my first time making it, and if I did a mistake, please let me know and I will fix it as fast as I can.

Thank you so much and happy liberating! If I helped you, that's all i need. No likes or anything else is needed. Have a great one.
