This short guide will show you how to play Multiplayer with your friends. It took me an hour to find "it just works" solution.
Works as of May 20245, as far as I know this is the only way to play Etherlords 2 multiplayer.

Just enter Etherlords 2 -> Go into multiplayer -> Lan -> Create/Join host -> Play
