After looking through the Discord there is no compilation of all the controls and tricks and tips in one guide so we will look to fix that.

Getting started
Welcome to tactical barbie Simulator...

After downloading this game and starting it you will go to the main screen.
  • Open up Loan wolf
  • Press F (this allows you to walk around)
  • walk to the first door on the left and hold F near the handle
  • While holding F you can either force the door open by scroll wheeling up or down or walking through it and swing your mouse
  • once inside go to the wall to the left use F to collect weapons. You can have 2 primaries, 1 sidearm and one special (Law, or entry tools laying to the right) as well as your choice of grenade type
  • use the numbers 1 2 and 3 to pull up the weapons press SHIFT + T to Bolt release or chamber a round
  • go to any table in the room that is in a cage or in the back press F and find add magazine. spam click that so you add ammo to your kit. You can also start customizing here
Note: you start customizing you will not stop
  • After all said and done go out the door turn left and down the hall. Open that door. put your weapon away by pressing the corresponding number to the weapon you have pulled out.
(1 is sidearm, 2 is the first primary you grabbed and 3 is the second primary you grabbed, 4 is your special slot)
  • Use mouse to select your settings you can start with shooting range or clean house which get you familiar with basic features. Make sure to change time of day, and then start.
  • complete mission, restart as necessary I suggest starting with 1 one or 2 enemies at first to get familiar. when mission is completed if solo you can go to infiltration point, if multiplayer just esc and end mission from the lobby menu at top right.
  • you will be back at hallway press F and you've restarted.
Controls
Thus far here are the controls to my understanding.
  • WASD is to move around
  • Q and E are lean (you have to hold)
NOTE: holding CTRL and moving mouse will free lean and doing while crouched will get some interesting results. it also holds you in place.
  • Z is prone C is crouch
  • middle mouse button freelook
  • Shift is run
  • F is interact open/close doors with mouse wheel and other interactions
  • G is select Grenade left click to throw
  • H is Heal and Emote selector used to have a radio according to some sources but has since been removed it seems.
  • N toggles Night vision modifier
  • V is radio use for multiplayer.
  • mouse button 3 is laser/flashlight, i changed this to separate between MB3 and MB4 in settings.
  • SPACE is kick which can be used to kick open doors and injure enemies at CQC also effective against teammates ;-)

THE NEXT FEW COMMANDS ARE WEAPONS MANIPULATION

  • CAPSLOCK is sight selector if you are using 2 or three different sight options on a setup
  • Holding ALT and scroll wheel up and down will change scope strength and/or flip 3x magnifier up
  • CTRL + R will mag check
  • CTRL + T will Press check to see if round is in the chamber
  • SHIFT + T will bolt release or put round in chamber need to be done after reload regardless of slide lock after empty. Only don't need it if you tactical reload (reloading just before out)
  • right mouse click ADS (aim down sight)
  • mouse wheel up and down while not ADS will put the weapon in a resting position that can quickly recover to firing position (fatigue is a thing so practice this)
  • R is a reload holding R also mag check Double Tap R for Mag Drop reload (faster)
  • B is change firing mode
  • G is select grenade left click to cook it and release to throw. If you press G while cooking you will reinsert the pin.
  • 1 is sidearm, 2 is primary, 3 is second primary, 4 is special weapon
  • press I to see inspect weapon

THIS FOLLOWING SECTION IS SPECIAL MUST HAVE A VEST WITH A TABLET ON CHEST, TEST IN LOCKER ROOM BEFORE GOING OUT

  • M quick press will toggle tablet view looking down at chest (must have platoon leader or squad leader chest peace) **can be buggy**
  • HOLD M will open for the duration of the press. ** works better**
WHILE LOOKING AT TABLET WHICHEVER METHOD USED
  • use arrow keys to move uav view around
  • press ";" (semi colon) to zoom in and press """ (quotations) to zoom out
  • press "." (period) to switch between thermal modes
  • press RIGHT CTRL to drop bomb (only enabled on certain maps/modes read the briefing to have an idea.)
Combat Uniform Kit
I am a laymen when it comes to tactical equipment but here we go. Begin this by pressing F at a locker in the cages and some cages have shelves

Helmet
Chosing a helmet comes with modification options that you will want to utitlize. select the helmet then when back to the major kit screen select the gear insignia at the top right of the helmet slot.
Select the type of NVG you want to use. GN is good all around but WP seems better for dark dark dark situations.

Also Select the IR Strobes you want and headset either hear or the kit screen.

VEST
Currently it seems the biggest difference for this selection is color and if you have access to a tablet/map. If running in a squad you likely don't need more than one person running it. I'm sure other roles will be defined by this in the future but to get a C&C Tablet select one of the Squad leader/Platoon leader/ or SGT vests.

EVERYTHING ELSE
I like taking the GPS watch but in order to use it well I noticed having rolled sleeves or short sleeves worked the best.
everything else generally seems cosmetic. You can add patches to shirts and some vests as well. just try everything.

Keep in mind there is friendly fire and there are no friendly blips and no hud to speak of so keep in mind when rolling with friends.
Weapon Loadout Tips
First things first, Know your mission
Close combat scenarios or mixed will have a major determination on how you kit out. Will there be BTRs? if so take a LAW to handle that. Are you going to do some door kicking? Yes? then bring a shotty and or a SMG for CQC.

Don't get caught unprepared. It is possible to load into a mission without having the means to complete it, even with the limited options in game currently.

My standard load out looks has variety
  • My Sidearm I chose is usually the SIG p320 but chose your adventure on this, I go to the mod table try out things usually don't go with Suppressor.
  • My primary is usually a CQC capable versatile selection. M4 is very easy to manipulate and has the most presets in game. (right fully so).
  • If a CQC map like clean house or deep water then I may go with Shotgun or SMGs that are at bottom of the selection wall as primary.
  • If a multi engagement map or open map I will take a DMR, or Sniper as my second primary (MK17 at top desert or black, Top right SIG Spear, is decent, and the AR in the middle which looks like a classic sniper rifle or DMR)
NOTE:for the strongest scope where it says sights chose 34MM option then scope should have big options. if not chose a 30MM option and it will have medium long range options.)
  • for the most part I take frags, just keep clicking on the wall
  • CQC take a MASTER KEY item leaning on the locker or Take a LAW for potential BTR engagements.

    Fine Tuning Your Weapon
One thing that came into play is accurate scope shadow.
You need to find the sweet spot for scopes by moving forward and back. rule of thumb tends to be the back of the actual optic sits adjacent to the back of the receiver where the stock begins. This isn't a hard fast rule however as the stock length comes into play as well.

What seemed to work thus far is if I look down a high powered scope and see heavy shade on the outside then I am too close to it.
If I see a clear picture in the scope but it seems too far away from my face then I will adjust by small movements on the mod table till it gets in close.

    Other considerations
Flashlights should be pushed to the forward position of your weapons. If it is further back by the receiver it will affect luminescence because the barrel will cut off some of the FOV.

No need for flashlights on long range weapon but isn't useless if deciding to use it.

Lasers can be placed anywhere on the weapon, closer to the hand the less fatigue theoretically but i don't know if that is simulated in game.

Take time to learn the weapons and some options. it is very accurate in terms of modifications so googling what you see is helpful.
Gameplay
If you learn the controls you will have a good idea how to play the game.

It is what you make it. The AI is fairly decent enough although I don't know if I've seen them open and close doors on their own probably due to the complex mechanic. They will walk through open doors and are accurate when not suppressed.

The health system is fairly simple currently, and I don't think you can provide first aid to a friendly. Press H to bring up the menu then select Health and chose to bandage any body part that is red or chose to use morphine to relive the symptoms of pain that occur, like slow movement or weapons sway.

Holding "F" on an allied player will allow you to grab onto them over their shoulder. It is a pretty cool tactic when stacking up and entering a building. I haven't used it often but when given the opportunity play with it and check it's capabilities. I'm sure there are more things you can do with interact that I have yet to discover.

"V" is the radio and I don't think there is a proximity chat yet but I could be wrong. There are many key binds that aren't listed. Use V for in game chat, I haven't used it much but I do believe the AI responds to in game voice. If they don't then I'd like to think so at least, placebo effect has to count for something.

You can shoot through walls and doors so utilize at will.

Don't bring/use a LAW in the boat mission it is game breaking in its effectiveness. lol

Really get used to door manipulation. The direction a door opens matters if you try and kick and or slam a door the wrong direction you will be swimming up stream. if I slam a door the wrong way with a breaching tool it will come off the hinges but likely stay mounted and then I can press and hold F and pull it toward me to throw it on the ground.

In the locker room with buddies, munitions and explosives won't kill friendlies but kicking and hitting with select master key special items will.

I run Suppressors a lot. they come standard on many kits, I don't know the true affects on the AI, but it could help with them not being able to zero in on where shots are coming from initially. I know some games work that way so I pretend that is how this works.

I do believe the game is enjoyable at current state but I did have to disable some lighting options in settings to really get it to look decent. There was a weird grainy look and heavy pixelated look before I disabled some things. Turn those off and it looks smooth
