This is an exhaustive test of each weapons, as of april 2024, to see how many bullets in the torso are required to down an enemy.

Important takeaways from this chart :

  • Bolt action and semi automatic rifles (except the M1 Carbine and Sniper rifles) do the same amount of damage : 1 shot at less than 200m, 2 shots above
  • Automatic rifles like the FG42, BAR and Bren do the same amount of damage : 1 shot at less than 100m, 2 shots above.
  • Soviet and British Machine Gun do more damage than US machine gun, and all of them do more damage than the German ones.
  • SMGs need a minimum of 2 shots in the torso at close range.
  • The M1 Carbine is awful, plain and simple, stick to the Garand.
  • Infantry weapons can't hit beyond 500m.
  • All bolt action snipers 1 shot in the torso, no matter the range
  • All weapons 1 shot in the head, no matter the range
  • 3 hits in the torso is the maximum to down an enemy, no matter the range
  • Legs take less damage

The 8MM caliber MG42 should do the same damage as a rifle. Same for other machine guns.

The BAR should do the same damage as the garand. Same caliber.

Submachine guns: PPSH and Tommy should oneshot within 25 meters in the torso for balance. They are more effective than the 9mm at close range.
Submachine guns should not headshot in one shot at more than 100m.

The sniper should do the same damage as rifles, same caliber.
