Intro
A lot of players (or ex-players, for that reason) despair and whine about the durability loss in this souls-like game. While repairs are free in the tutorial area and pretty cheap once you reach Sacrament, it is possible to reduce the repair cost even further! No realm-abusing or editing required! It's a simple and easily usable game mechanic.
Prerequisites
To gain access to your free repairs you need to:
- upgrade Eleanor's shop to Level 2 by bringing 10 Pine Wood and 5 Copper Ores to Maker Danos.
- Find her in the Marketplace in Sacrament
- buy a Rune of Repair from her for 1 Silver...
- put some stat points into focus or get a Ring of Calm so you can use 150 Focus req. Runes
- slot the rune into one of your weapons

Since people complaining about the durability loss seem pretty dim witted I add some screenshots on how to find her:

She's standing in the market place a bit to the Northwest, next to the Carpenter

That's her:

That's the rune you need to buy:

How to repair for free
After you've completed all the prequisites mentioned above you simply have to aquire 150 Focus (you gain them by hitting enemies or drinking a vial of focus) and use your Rune of Repair

It's that simple..

Bonus is to put a chipped topaz in your pants for focus gain on focus use and spam the startup only of Channel and get super cheap focus since it will only cast a handful of HP.

I love this guide. :D

Can you also make one for how to slot an actually useful rune in your weapon and not have to bother with repairs at all because durability is not a game system that exists because durability is not a game system anyone should consider implementing under any circumstances whatsoever including your loved ones and your dog being held hostage at gunpoint by very trigger happy meth addicted prison inmates and/or getting a phone call from literally comrade Poutine saying he will literally nuke all of modern civilization thus ending life as we all know it?

Did I mention I don't like durability? :lunar2020thinkingtiger:
