Well, for example, the way "Full Armor - Hands and Feet" autopatching works is it checks for the word "armor" in name of apparel, then it checks for "Arms" or "Legs" coverage tags and adds apropriate "Hands" or "Feet" tags. I can only do simple patches.
Aesthetically speaking I suggest that almost everyone envisioned a vanilla power armor covering hands and feet. We can't graphically see gloves nor boots so it's all in le head, and I just want stats to make sense.
Just a personal little wish of mine, but ultimately your choice :)
