'Yorktown'-Class Light Corvette

The 'Yorktown'-Class was a series of versatile ships, primary intended to reinforce aging security forces across the Imperial Frontier, with a secondary focus on providing the Imperial Fleet a quick and agile mid-range reconnaissance craft. Currently, 'Yorktown' corvettes are stationed at orbital outposts along the Imperial Border Worlds, operate as escorts for convoys of the Imperial Logistics Corp., and function as forward scouts in conjunction with Imperial Navy battle groups.

The design of the 'Yorktown' prioritizes compactness, allocating a significant portion of its internal volume to ship systems rather than crew accommodations. Its hull is primarily made up of light armor and the design relies heavily on hydrogen fuel, resulting in a design that sacrifices durability for considerable maneuverability and firepower for a ship of its class.
