Update: 4/16/2024
A full table was datamined from a collective effort on a different website and they have added it to a google chart. I will respectfully end my work here since they beat me to it. From my glance at the google data there is just repeated tomes over and over from certain characters but unless you are rapidly switching your specialization it isn't necessary.

Since I did put in enough work for over 100 characters I will leave what I completed here for quick referencing if you just need a quick specific tome from the well known npc's In my final tables. Most of the individual house gifts are different types of Roborants, ores, and gems by far for the rest of the 400+ npcs in the game I did not get to. This is great that a collaborative effort completed this because it would have taken me a few months to finish on my own, 1+ million gold and countless Wyrmslife Crystals.

Wyrmslife Crystal is a more late game item used to force a faster result but they will likely accept a larger number of minor gifts and reach max affinity early game. When it became apparent that they will need a large number of minor gifts Wyrmslife crystal was used to push to max affinity. You can use minor gifts instead but expect to spend a longer time gifting items. The category that I gifted is a hint, if I gifted a monster part then they prefer monster parts and so on.

This new section will hold the "valuable" or interesting rewards. Due to the release of the google chart collab online I will only update this chart if I find something extremely unique going forward. This way people viewing the guide can skim this section if they are looking for rare or best rewards. The study tables below will remain as a record in case people need a specific House Gift or want to see what the results were.

In general most house gifts are really minor gameplay wise and are repeated once you get past merchants or quest npcs.

First special city invasion: Griffon! Used Bakbatthal as a landing strip without me nearby, it was amazing to watch I didn't have time to screenshot it. Must be rare.

- Hugo Bug -
Affected NPC's won't necessarily blush properly, or possibly gift their items. I think it has something to do with guard routines but some merchants and higher rank npcs also resist blushing unless you are speaking with them.

Regarding Children NPC. Some are enabled and some disabled. Some gift and some do not or they are bugged and cannot gift properly.

<4/16/2024> A google chart was completed with all the data by a collaborative effort.. The vast majority of the gifts turned out to be very minor gifts which was already becoming apparent after 60+ npcs were tested. I can now save my health and play the game for enjoyment! Rejoice!

Note: It is unconfirmed if a certain pool of npc's can have static results until more data is discovered. For example on the internet Grisha, Eldart, and the Innkeeper Kough all mention being a holder of Woodlands Woodsmith Tome, yet between the three it only seems to drop from one specific target or if they are simply mistakes being made, is hard to say. From my testing on my specific game file so far the handouts seem static enough. Important NPC's tend to hold the tomes, or merchants. If you get nothing after extensive testing let me know and I will create a section for randomized pool chances if such a thing exists.

-Npc's have certain thresholds and behaviors due to quests and can also lose affinity. Sometimes walking into an npc can have a negative affinity affect, or brandishing a weapon on accident. You may need slightly more or less gifts to max their affinity. Also affinity can decline over time, especially from merchants, for sure if you do not communicate with them occasionally. You can tell if their affinity is max by the npc blushing very hard. The declining affinity from max affinity could be a bug, it doesn't affect all Npc.

-Besides what is listed here, there are other gifts you can give to more quickly increase affinity (listed in the npc history), you can only do so once per day for any gift. Sometimes an npc may gift you Specialization Tomes after their affinity is max. The discount at merchants is handy as sometimes their prices are fairly expensive. A 10% discount on 60k gold can be quite the savings and everyone needs Ferrystones!

-I highly recommend you brine or kill your main pawn and dismiss your rented pawns when working on affinity. This keeps you from seeing the effects of Dragonplague, which will ruin your gift giving fun.

-In the event that you are in mid-game as a minor spoiler monsters and bosses can show up in the city gates sometimes or minor monsters around the city. If you have unlocked Magic Archer I would recommend keeping this as your travel vocation and use Martyr's Bolt on bosses. If it's just a few regular enemies you can then deal with them while they attack guards. Remember to put away your weapon after so it doesn't make the npc's angry.

-Some npc's will not be able to do escorts or leave extra gifts at your house. This is likely due to them having very restricted roles to play. This seems to be the case more with some major quest npcs and some merchants. I would just go for their minor discounts and move on.

-A final note about escorts. To save time you can pick up the npc requesting the escort and use a ferrystone to teleport quicker to where they want to go if it is nearby some place that has a portcrystal. This is a good way to finish off any escorts you are stuck with. Be careful accepting an escort. You can not cancel them easily.

    

Note: Melve Village residents will mostly relocate to Harve Village after certain quests are completed.

Note: If you are going for Sigurd's gifted weapon, it took about an in-game week to arrive for a house gift.

Note: City Invasions are a little more dangerous here because poison Saurian's can poison NPC and kill them, wasting Wakestones. Be cautious when they are attacking or lead them away.

Note: Most NPC's have a very simple path that goes back and forth. Very easy to find.
