How to revert to default bindings
Overview
SteamVR has a powerful controller bindings system. There are cases where players may have custom bindings assigned. This guide details how to ensure you're using the default bindings.

How to ensure you're using the default bindings

Step 1 - Launch SteamVR Settings
With SteamVR Open, open up the menu and open Settings.

Step 2 - Manage Controller Bindings
Select the Controllers Tab and then "Manage Controller Bindings."

Step 3 - Ensure default binding is selected for Espire 1
  • First Select "Espire 1: VR Operative" from the "Manage Controller Bindings for" drop-down list at the top of the UI.
  • Ensure your Active Controller is correct. This is the controller that SteamVR has detected you are using.
  • Ensure your Active Controller Binding is set to the default.

Additional note for HP Reverb G2 users
Microsoft created 'official' bindings for Espire 1. Reverb G2 users may need to do additional steps to ensure they are using the Digital Lode (Espire developer) bindings

Step 4 - load up Custom bindings
  • Select the "Custom" button
  • Press "Choose another"

Step 5 - Ensure "Default" bindings are used
There are 2 official bindings. Ensure you've activated the "Default bindings for hpmotioncontroller (v1.9) and NOT the "Microsoft Recommended Bindings".

A note on VR support
All of these settings can be modified in VR. Bring up the Steam Dashboard and select "Controller Bindings."
