Overview
May users play SteamVR games with their Windows Mixed Reality headsets using "Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR". This is the software application that allows WMR headsets to be compatible with SteamVR.

By default, pressing-in the left thumbstick on your controller will show the "SteamVR Dashboard". Most games use the left-thumbstick press action to initiate 'sprinting'. This "Dashboard" shortcut can be disabled.
How to disable the "SteamVR Dashboard" when pressing left-thumbstick
Step 1 - Open "Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR Settings"
Open the Steam VR dashboard and you will see a shortcut to launch "Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR Settings".
Step 2 - Disable "Use joystick-press to open SteamVR dashboard"
You will find this option under the "Input" tab.

Success!
With this setting disabled, pushing in the left-thumbstick will no longer bring up the steamVR dashboard, and instead trigger in-game actions. In the case of Espire 1, this will toggle 'sprint'.

Not related but how much screen you have and also, I play with Valve Index controllers but never felt I sprinted when I pressed the joystick
