INTRODUCTION
What is Daimon's Vortex AKA Rift Vortex

AOE spell Daimon does when he has suffered 3 HP bars on damage, it drains arisen and pawns stamina, once they get trapped they are killed and loss the chance of winning Daimon's bestiary knowledge, his RC and oportunity to rate, give them items etc. The second form Vortex is so strong and big that it will amost always suck in the pawns unless you interrupt it making running useless if you want to save your party.

Why no Blast Arrows?

Because not all vocations can use them, becase they are boring, becuase they make you not improve on skill or understand the fight or your own class. With this guide I'll explain to you how to stop the second form Vortex without them.

What you need to interrupt daimon's second form vortex consistently with skills and spells only

  • one or two barbed nails (AKA the most underrated jewelry on the game)
  • the best weapon you got (level 1 BBI at least recommended)
  • liquid vim (optional for some vocations)
  • stamina consumable (optional for some vocations)
  • DMG periapts to help some vocations (optional)

VIDEO SHOWCASE OF MY GUIDE

VOCATION (class) GUIDE
WARRIOR
Arc of Deliverance | Dificulty: Hard | Consistency: High
You must charge behind a pilar / object and then use the suck in effect to get near Daimon, you must AIM to his LEGS (not the center) of his body. that's the difficult part. You can use the upgrade version of Deliverance. At least one Barbed nail is still recommended for this fight to stun him when vulnerable.

MYSTIC KNIGHT
Stone Forest | Dificulty: Easy | Consistency: High
Braindead easy spell to use, huge area and CC. There's nothing special to say besides the fact that is weird nobody recommends this spell for Daimon.

SWORD ASSASSIN (melee only)
Powder Blast | Dificulty: Medium | Consistency: High
Drop the powder beetween his legs. Using powder barrage (the ring upgrade) instead is 100% recommended becuase it's like 3 times faster to set up, this skill has so many CC it does well with just one barbed nail and fixes a lot of the sword shield playstyle issues in hard mode BBI. This is one of the FEW upgraded skills/spells that are worth using.

STRIDER
Splinter Dart | Dificulty: Medium | Consistency: High
Most OP skill on the entire game, it does massive CC and damage, even with non BBI weapons you can interrupt Daimon with it.
You must use Splinter Dart CORRECTLY in order to Interrupt Daimon with consistency, this mean holding the button once you click it once and then release to denotate the Dart before it hits Daimon.
Climb + Heavy attack | Dificulty: Medium | Consistency: High
Heavy atack is better at staggering and stunnig bosses than Hundred Kisses, since it has innate CC. Using Heavy attack while climbming will also consume less stamina. All daggers classes can do this tactic.

RANGER
Deathly Arrow | Dificulty: Easy | Consistency: High
Deathly Arrow with two barbed nails should be enough for the whole BBI and Daimon, simply charge and release the shot with correct timming. DO NOT use the upgraded ring version of this skill, it's bugged and does less damage.
Great Gamble | Dificulty: Medium | Consistency: High
Decent option if you lack a good weapon since Great Gamble scales offstamina and does massive CC regarless of gear. Not recommended becuae Deathly Arrow exists.

BOW ASSASSIN
Mighty Bend | Dificulty: Easy | Consistency: Low
Lyncean Sight | Dificulty: Easy | Consistency: Low

Similar strategy to Ranger but all the short bow skills are overall weaker, you may need to use just aa couple of damage boosters and staminna consumables, spamming Lyncean Sight may work better than Mighty Bend. This is another reason to play Strider instead of bow assassin AKA: the most overrated class on the game.

SORCERER
High Gicel | Dificulty: Medium | Consistency: High
Aim the spell to Daimon's chest. Stamina consummables aren't neccesary if you if you position yourself correctly and use the suck in effect at your favor.
High Maelstorm | Dificulty: High | Consistency: High
Not recomended, it's way harder to aim with it.

SORCERER AND MAGE
High Frigor | Dificulty: Hard | Consistency: High
Charge the spell behind a pillar, use R3 to aim when you're being suck in to Daimon, aim the center. The third pillar will likely stagger him.
Holy Focused Bolt | Dificulty: Easy | Consistency: Low
There's nothing I can't say that isn't well know besides that this core spell can be very weak without damage boosters to interrupt Daimon making High Frigor a better option for Mages and Gicel for Sorcerer, they are also way more fun to use.

MAGICK ARCHER
Sixfold Bolt | Dificulty: Easy | Consistency: Medium
Two barbed nails are mandatory, you need to spam it as much as you can. The augment Precision may help.
Great Sacrifice | Dificulty: Easy | Consistency: Garanteed
This spell does massive damage and CC regarless of Arisen's gear and stats. Useful for MAs with very bad weapons at the cost of not saving one random pawn in your party.
Explosive Rivet | Dificulty: Hard | Consistency: High
You can use Explosive Rivet to putp as many explosites in Daimon's top part, then Climb to it to detonate them with a single melee attack for massive CC.

FIGHTER
Climb | Dificulty: Hardest | Consistency: Medium
Only class that can't Interrupt Daimon's Second form Vortex with a single skill/spell, only can climb, making mage a tier better. Stamina consumables and two barbed nails are mandatory. Consistency is weak becuase there's a spot around Daimon's "head" where you character can get stuck, jumping to climb is way better than normal climbing. I recommend to play Sword / Shield Assasin instead because of this.
EXTRA NOTES

  • CC means Crowd Control AKA: Stagger and Knockdown on this game
  • This is made assuming you play in HardMode AKA: the only valid difficulty to play the game
  • All methods fo the second form work for the first form, but NOT all methods for the first form work for the second type of Vortex
  • Sorcerer pawns are able to Interrupt the Vortex using Maelstrom but this will only happen 1 in 100000 times
  • Strider pawns are able to Interrupt the Vortex using Fracture Dart but this will only happen 1 in 100000 times
  • Strider and Ranger pawns can stunlock and solo Daimon if you force them to equip blast arrows having a non posession inmune pawn in your party
  • Mage and Sorcerer pawns can stunlock and solo Daimon if you force them to use Holy Focused Bolt only if they don't have more to use or are affected by a group debilitation consumable
  • Fighter can hit Daimon's legs with Heavenward Lash during his Vortex but the skill lacks CC to be able to Interrupt the skill (hacking the game adding more CC to the character will allow them to Interrupt him this way)
  • Damage stats affect somehow Daimon's interruption sucess somehow, nobody knows exactly why and how, for example a Sorcerer with full Sorcerer stats will CC Daimon more easily than a full Strider stats Sorecerer. Naturally, DMG consumables also make it easier, this is very noticeable with you use Holy Focused Bolt to stagger him
