Become the Dragon

For Stellaris 4.1.* - English only (translations available) - Not Ironman Compatible

Become the Dragon is a small but impactful mod of mine that gives you the necessary tools to play as a Dragon empire or spawn Dragon AI empires. I have also released Become the Saurian, for those who wish to play as a Saurian under a more strategic playstyle.

- Apex Draconius
- Space Dragons

- 2 new civics: Dragon Culture - requires both Militarist and Authoritarian + Draconic species and not a Megacorp authority (practically a must for any conqueror Dragon empire, this civic provides many bonuses to the player - it is quite powerful, so it might not be as balanced as other civics but hey, they are dragons after all), Cooperative Dragon Culture - requires both Xenophile and Authoritarian + Draconic species and not a Megacorp authority (same type of civic as the previous one, but more focused on diplomacy and cooperation rather than galactic domination);

- 1 new species trait: Dragons (same as the civic, provides many powerful bonuses fit for dragons. I personally use Xenology and some other species trait mods to add negative traits alongside this, but for the sake of not compacting everything into one trait, I'll leave it as it is. You can install Xenology yourself if you want to add those traits as well);

- 3 new orbital bombardment options: Dragonfire Selective, Dragonfire Indiscriminate and Dragonfire Armageddon (all exclusive to the Dragon Culture civic, these stances are more powerful than their regular counterparts, and Dragonfire Armageddon is available to you regardless of ethics or civics);

- 2 new AI personalities: Relentless Dominators (exclusive to the Dragon Culture civic, this personality is automatically taken by AI playing as a Dragon empire, being more aggressive than your standard Hegemonic Imperialists while also having a greater focus on armor to make use of their civic bonuses. Dragons will always prefer subjugation over conquest when possible), Diplomatic Draconians (exclusive to the Cooperative Dragon Culture civic, this personality is automatically taken by AI playing as a Dragon empire with this civic, being a little more aggressive than Erudite Explorers but still less than Hegemonic Imperialists. While they like to spend a lot on military, they invest a lot into their colonies as well. They are generally not aggressive unless provoked, and are willing to cooperate diplomatically. Migration treaties are still a no-go, though;

- Access to the Dragonscale technology research option even without killing the leviathan for it if you use one of the two civics - I might change this a little in the future;

- Ability to use Livestock slavery without the Xenophobe ethic as a Draconian.

- Japanese;
- Chinese.

This mod should be compatible with pretty much everything except mods that modify bombardment stances and slavery types.
