Step 2:
Download REframework here: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma2/mods/8

Step 3:
Put the "dinput8.dll" file into the game directoy of Dragons Dogma 2

hint: righclick the game in your steam library and it will show you the installation path

Step 4:
Start the game and make sure REframework works: press the INSERT key to open / close the menu. When you first boot it up it should show the menu right from the start

Step 5:
Close the game and it should have created new folders in your game directory, such as: reframework. Download the HUD Control mod and put the lua files "cookie_key_utils.lua" and "dd2_hud_controls.lua" into the "autorun" folder you will find in your games directory
(Dragons Dogma 2 < reframework < autorun)

Step 6:
Run the game, open the menu with the INSERT key and at the very bottom you will find the options from HUD Controls. Here you can define actions such as "show map only during combat" and many more. Enjoy!

Disclaimer:
I am not the creator of these mods. I am just doing this to raise awareness. I have played +40h on my ultrawide without any mods and I am so thankful that I can now enjoy the full view of my ultrawide. Together with a proper implementation of an HUD that disappears when it needs to.
