Starting
When starting the game, you will be greeted with a cutscene. It shows the ship flying over the planet you will be inhabiting, and PIP- 3R, your satellite companion that will guide you through the game. It will show you in a ship flying above the planet, and your Farmech falling from the ship onto the planet. Not a very soft landing. You can hold [SPACE] to skip the cutscene.

Upon landing, head through the gap of trees and keep heading straight. You'll see a red mech ready for repair. It's not hard. Once you get to the mech press [1] to equip your P.I.C.K. Axe. Hold [RMB] to enter pickup mode. Run over to the part that looks like the front end of an old tractor, pick it up, and place on the front of the mech, just below the windshield. Now do the same for the left arm. Once you have fixed the mech, press [E] to unflip it. If you ever topple over in the future, just simply hop out of the mech and do what I've just said. Great! You've fixed the mech. Now hold [E] while looking at the mech to get inside. Head to the orange smoke in the sky. There are 5 tools in total:
--------------------------------------------------
[1]. Spike Saw
[2]. Vacuum Harvester
[3]. Irrigation Hose
[4]. Sapling Shooter
[5]. Seed Shooter
You can press [V] to cycle tools, or hold [Q] to bring up a tool wheel.
--------------------------------------------------
A map of all the tools if you are struggling to find them:
--------------------------------------------------
Once you have collected all of your tools, go ahead and press [M] this will bring up your map. You want to head over to Pine Heights. Using your Vacuum Harvester [2], suck up the nearest body of water. Now equip the Irrigation Hose [3] and spray the Noxious Slime using [LMB]. Once you have removed enough of the slime, the game will notify you that you have now unlocked a new region. Other regions require tool upgrades, so make sure you take the time to find each resource. And when you think you have plenty, you need a lot more. So always, always get more resources. Now it's time to start a farm!
How to build / destroy structures
In order to build a structure, I recommend sitting inside the mech and pressing [MMB] to go into third person. From here, you can clearly see where you will be placing objects. Now, press (B) in order to enter build mode. In this menu, you can select from a wide variety of different structure you have unlocked. The more materials you find, the more structures you can build. If you have ever played The Forest, the building system is very similar, for those who haven't. I'll explain it.
--------------------------------------------------
Choose something you would like to build. Choose somewhere to place it. Use the scroll wheel to rotate the object, and press [SHIFT] to enable snap mode. This will not snap the objects to a grid, however, it will snap to other objects nearby, a good example being other plots. Once you have chosen a good place, press [LMB] to place the "ghost" or "blueprint". From here, hold [E] to place all the components you can into the structure. If you do not have the items in your inventory but the items are nearby in a crate, it will pull resources from that crate. Great! Now you know how to place objects. Scroll down to see a list of the required items for a functional farm.
How to start a farm
1. Find a nice area, preferably with a body of water next to it for watering your crops.
2. Destroy as many trees, rocks, and deposits as you can. You'll need plenty of resources.
3. Build a Workshop Shed (Wood x24)

A workshop shed is very useful, because if a piece of equipment is placed inside the shed, there is a good chance for it to duplicate it's product, for example, instead of getting 1 Plant oil, you might get 2.
4. Build an Oil Press (Stone x16, Wood x12)
These are used to turn your crops you've harvested into crafting supplies. You'll need these supplies to upgrade your mech parts.
5. Using the plant fibers gathered from trees, make plant oil in the Oil Press.
This is used to build the assembler
6. Build an assembler (Aluminum Rod x10, Stone x10, Plant Oil x4)
7.Build a Small Tent (Plant Fiber x20, Wood x8)
This is used to pass the time by in order to harvest your crops sooner.
8.Build a small Plot (Plant Fiber x12, Wood x8)
Used to plant up to 9 seeds in a mound of dirt.
9. Build an Upgrade Depot (Stone x24, Aluminum Rod x4, Aluminum Frame x4).
This structure is used to upgrade and personalize the mech.
10. If you bought the PIONEERS DLC Bundle, place a mailbox somewhere. Open the mailbox and you will receive your reward.

Once you have constructed this machine, Bring your mech to the arm and press [E]. This will automatically teleport your mech to the Depot, so long as you are nearby to it. From here, you can change your cosmetics and parts. For a full list of upgrades, check the MECH page

Paint WIP
Paint comes from Colorflowers.

The following colors are what I like to call "basic colors" (They aren't the official basic colors but its just a game term.)

You can find these basic colors out in the wild growing off of a colorflower.
Harvested Colorflower:

There are 5 basic colors
Red
Blue
Yellow
White
Black

The first 4 are very easy to get. All you need to do is explore the regions. Most of the time each region has it's own color. Black is the most difficult to get of the colors. How to get black flower:
Completely restore every region on the main island. The "Strange Structure" will become available. Go through this door to unlock the Tornado Rock Isle region in the Northern part of the map. There, you will be able to find 3 black colorflowers.

Colorflowers are not finite, nothing is. Once you discover one, you will be able to purchase any of them from the merchant ship for $250 each.

How to get more colors:
You will need a Color Mixer (Hardwood x12, Red Crystal Dust x10)
Using this station, you will be able to make Orange, Pink, Purple, Grey, Brown, and lots more colors. These will take your customization to another level!
Here is an image of most, if not all paints available in the game.
Crafting Aluminum Parts
A resource you will often need in the start of the game is Aluminum Rods. The easiest way to get Aluminum is to explore the area directly under the word "Meadows" in The Meadows region. Here you will get about 25 Aluminum if you're lucky, maybe more. Using this aluminum, and using Copper, which can be found just about everywhere, it's not hard to find. It looks like a bunch of copper bars sticking up, you will be able to craft most starting buildings. You can make Aluminum Electronics, which will be handy in most upgrades, made from 2 Aluminum Rods and 1 Copper Wire. In order to get copper wire, simply go to your assembler and make it using copper. Use the assembler for the electronics as well. By this point, you can get quite a few upgrades, but you'll need to do some grinding.

There are two versions of this game.: The main one and the Classic one, which differ in maps and gameplay.

For example, in the classic one, it is not possible to plow the land, the robot and the exofermer (GG) do not have health, and the robot does not need fuel, etc.

The current guide belongs to the classic branch.
