Getting past all the "invasive, bad for the whole world" micro transactions/DLC.
Capcom, has incorporated microtransactions into a significant portion of their single-player games. These microtransactions almost always offer in-game items, cosmetics, or other enhancements that can be purchased with real money. However, it's ESSENTIAL that you recognize that the presence of "Invasive, waah waah" DLC in Capcom's games does not directly impact the gameplay experience at all. If you don't like it, don't buy it. It has already been stated but it really is crucial to understand that mtx are completely optional in these games. You aren't required or even pressured to buy any of them to have fun or to progress through the game. The core content and gameplay remain accessible to all players regardless of whether they choose to take away from their own experience by buying a portcrystal or buying a wakestone if they struggle to much. If you would just look at the game past all the hate surrounding it you would find that is probably one of the best singleplayer rpgs out there.

Edit: Capcom has officially listed which items that are mtx you can get in game below.
2nd Edit: "Adding the option to start a new game when save data already exists.
Changing the number of "Art of Metamorphosis" items available at Pawn Guilds in the game to 99."
It still isnt multiple save files but. :)

"All the items listed below can be obtained in-game or as paid DLC items.
Art of Metamorphosis - Character Editor <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<!!!!
Ambivalent Rift Incense - Change Pawn Inclinations
Portcrystal - Warp Location Marker
Wakestone - Restore the dead to life!
500 Rift Crystals / 1500 Rift Crystals / 2500 Rift Crystals - Points to Spend Beyond the Rift
Makeshift Gaol Key - Escape from gaol!
Harpysnare Smoke Beacons - Harpy Lure Item"

Break the cycle Arisen.
Dragon's Dogma 2 is such a great game it's insane. It %10,000 has its flaws and things that pissed me off BUT after looking past this fog of hate for Capcom for something they have been doing for years, it's beautiful. I genuinely think you would love the game if you gave it a try. The only thing I truly didn't like was that there wasn't more. :(

I had way more planned out for this rant but I suck at writing this ♥♥♥♥. (This is my first ever guide.)
And before anyone comments stuff about me not knowing what I'm talking about, I've gotten all the endings and am gonna %100 it. I also didn't want to spoil ANYTHING because the ending is way too sick. Feel free to leave your thoughts or rants in the comments I'll prob forget to look at em. :)

It's so funny seeing people crying about "paying" to recreate your Arisen and pawn. The book of metamorphasisphysicspaenus whatever is called can be bought with rift coins that your main pawn receives in game. At level 30, I bought both of them (always knew from the first game that healing mages always get hired). I now have 10k rift crystals that are of no use to me at this point. haha.

Tbh it's good to have some pushback against mtx, because being quiet is how we get shit like Madden, but I think the outrage should be proportionate to the predatory levels. I'd rather people save their outrage for the next CoD, Battlefield, Diablo, and so on that do so so much worse. Here - outrage did get us a patch that raises tomes count at a vendor to 99, and the rest of mtx items are trivial to get from early mid-game and on.

Also sobbing and crying over performance and no new game should have a limit. Yes it's bad, but again this doesn't make a game a 0/10. At least that can be fixed with patches, unlike games like Anthem that could only be fixed with a double shot to its head.

That said I'd rather people focus on relevant critique, which is some legit gameplay issues.

Kaz you can buy a book for gold in vermund to change either you or your pawns appearance AND when you beat the game you can completely change everything about you or your pawns. which is why I said to do research

you forgot the potion to change your characters appearence, imagine having to pay to change yoru character in a singleplayer (full priced too) game :))
