How to get the "Legendary Survivor" achievement, reach wave 75 in Crucible [Patch 2.1.f5]
By Krille D
This guide shows you how to achieve the "Legendary Survivor" achievement using some cheese tactics without needing to be skilled at the game as of patch 2.1.f5. The achievement should be obtainable by most people who follow the guide. Since this guide focuses on reaching level 75, the other achievements for reaching levels 50 and 25 will be obtained at the same time. This tactic is also quite quick, so it can be completed swiftly. This guide focuses solely on the achievements and will not yield a particularly high score on the leaderboard.

This achievement requires you to reach level 75, and the key word is 'reach'; you don't have to beat that level. In fact, you don't have to beat any of the 55 levels before level 75. So the aim is to build a very long maze and spam the 'send next wave' button as soon as it's off cooldown.

I chose the map "Fireside" since it's quite big and has the ability to build a long maze. First of all, the aim should be to connect all spawn points to a single lane, as indicated by the red arrows on the picture. At the same time, block off any direct access to the core other than the long maze route.

Secondly, some sort of defense area should be built at the pink cross on the picture. So a small Foundry of 7x7 near the core and then some defenses like Cannons, Bone Chillers, Well of Souls, etc. at the pink cross. It doesn't matter too much; it should be enough to hold out for the first 5-15 waves to make time to build the full maze.

Once the defense area is set, it's just a matter of building a very long maze, as long as possible. I did something like what the blue line shows. When you're done, you should have a single combined long route to the core from all three spawn points. After that, it's just spamming the 'Send the next wave' button until you reach wave 75+ and wait til the core get destroyed.

Some notes and tips:

Make sure that there's always a way to the core, so that the long maze is done and fully open before locked off any old open areas. Otherwise the talking guy will use an "Earthquake" spell to break open the old routes again making the way to the core shorter.

You also have access to Crucible-specific spells or "lifelines". Make sure to use them while the enemies are attacking the Goldstones. Use "Apocalypse" to eliminate early bosses with a one-shot on early waves, and later, perhaps around wave 50 or later, use "Safeguard" instead to stall for time.

After every boss wave, the "send next wave" cooldown will be longer, approximately 1 minute instead of 5 seconds. However, that should not pose any problems as long as the maze is long enough and the "Safeguard" spell is used. When I did the achievement, I believe I used the "Safeguard" spell 3-4 times during the whole run, which means that my maze was long enough.

The achievements will pop in the stat screen after the core gets destroyed. So fear not if you don't get any achievements despite reaching level 25, 50 or 75 during your run.
