DearMink, I was able to trick my brother; on a modern flatscreen nonetheless! He loves the old hardware and has even been learning how to write a game of his own that runs on it. I had the game running on my Steam Deck with the blurriest filter, running in 4:3 but stretched across the 16:9 display, and left the N64 below the entertainment stand turned on with the flash cart inserted. I have a wireless aftermarket N64 controller so I was able to have it connected to the Deck while making it look like it was plugged into the N64 with its dedicated dongle. Had him totally convinced for 15 minutes until he looked up the game on his phone and saw it had only released a week prior, on PC nonetheless, haha
