Pepperman's Attacks
Pepperman has five unique attacks, spread out over the course of ten Phase 1 lives and ten Phase 2 lives. All of his attacks are done twice before moving on to the next, and his Phase 2 attacks are just faster and/or harder to deal with.

  • Shoulder Bash: Pepperman charges towards you with his shoulder, becoming vulnerable once he hits the wall. Easy Counter: Simply jump over his tackles or parry them.
  • Double Shoulder Bash: Pepperman charges towards you with his shoulder twice, turning around after he passes you. He becomes vulnerable once he hits the wall. Easy Counter: Simply jump over his tackles or parry them.
  • Slam: Pepperman rises into the sky diagonally and slams down once he is positioned underneath you, becoming vulnerable a bit after he lands. Easy Counter: Wait for him to reach his peak, then dash out of the way. Parrying is a risky move.
  • Slam-Bounce: Pepperman rises into the sky diagonally and slams down once he is positioned underneath you. Upon slamming down, he will then begin to bounce around the arena high up in the sky, and becomes vulnerable until he touches the ground. Easy Counter: Wait for him to reach his peak, then dash out of the way. Parrying is a risky move. Then, use your uppercut to hit him out of the air.
  • Artsy Double Shoulder Bash: A block of stone falls from the ceiling in either the right or left corner, while Pepperman charges towards you with his shoulder twice, turning around after he passes you. Chiseling the block of stone with your attacks either three or six times, depending on the phase, will cause Pepperman to stop and look at it when he's close to it, leaving him vulnerable. Easy Counter: Simply jump over his tackles or parry them, and use the down time between attacks to chisel the stone and stun him.
Stage Hazards
There are a few stage hazards in Pepperman's fight, showing up after he begins his Double Shoulder Bash attacks.
  • Sketchy Pepperman: A green-coloured, fedora-wearing mock-up of Pepperman will peek out either the left or right wall, and after a few seconds, will begin to slowly move from one side of the screen to the next. It will go away after hitting someone, being parried, or being rammed into by Pepperman.
  • Falling Statue Pepperman: A Pepperman-shaped statue will peek out from the roof and fall down after a few seconds.
  • Sliding Statue Pepperman: A Pepperman-shaped statue will peek out either the left or right wall, and after a few seconds, will begin to slowly move from one side of the screen to the next. It will not go away unless it reaches the end of the stage. DON'T PARRY THESE! It's not worth it.
