On 2:10PM December 8th BVPD were called to a domestic violence call about a suspect, 32 year old Aaron Collin, beating his girlfriend. Upon arriving to the scene, the victim told officers what the suspect looked like and what he was driving. At 2:55PM a BVPD officer tried to pull over the suspect, prompting him to flea. He continued for for 24 minutes with officers still in chase when BVPD officer Paul Malin laid down spikestrips in an attempt to stop the pursuit. The suspect then purposely crashed into Malin's patrol car with him crouched behind, severely injuring him. After the crash the suspect ran off carrying shotgun. About two minutes later the suspect took his own life in someones front yard. Officer Malin is still in extremely critical condition at this hour."
