As of today, at the conclusion of the 60-Day plan, Arrowhead changed how patrols spawn after the completion of the primary objectives. Completing the primary objective will no longer raise patrol rates on its own, and instead will be determined by your proximity to extract. I'd love it if this guide got updated to reflect that, but I completely understand if it remains as is.
110+ meters is a lot of distance, so much that they won't react to me shooting at other objectives even with direct LOS. This does not fit real life experiences of sometimes turning 90 degrees to find unsuspecting guards walking nearby. I also recall several times when I went to a POI with 4 red dots but was greeted by a sea of bots around the corner.
Not true, Patrols will absolutely spawn right in front of you as long as you're looking in the right place which can be determined via the mechanics we discuss in Part 2
Did you then destroy outposts?
This changes where patrols will attempt to spawn and the change in possible spawn positions could result in blocked spawns in an area that previously worked fine.
It's difficult to say for certain without being able to look at the exact circumstances. I'll gladly look at recordings of "strange" behavior if you have any on hand.
