Brands
Brands in Void Stranger are a 6x6 pixel black and white image.

There are two kinds. One can be entered at the start of a game, when it asks you to "engrave your brand". The other kind must be entered in a special place within the dungeon.

The list of brands by themself are at least a mild spoiler, but I have tried to use spoiler text for things you might still want to try to figure out for yourself, to try to limit the spoil to just knowing that the brand exists.

The secret brands in the last section are much stronger spoilers.
Unlockable Special Brands
At the start of each run, any of these brands can be activated by entering it twice on the "engrave your brand" before you choose your own brand. Once unlocked, they will be added to this screen for future reference at your next game over, though you can also use brands you have not yet unlocked just by entering them.

Infinity
Provides infinite locusts, making it easier to avoid eating the pomegranate and becoming VOID. Can be removed using a statue of BEE or CIF.
Reach the end of the dungeon with VOID status.
Memory
Start with the memory cube, allowing you to understand the language used in the dungeon.
Find the memory cube by using ADD's brand in the dungeon.
Sword
Start with the sword, allowing you to attack enemies in the dungeon. TAN's room will be empty.
Find the sword by using TAN's brand in the dungeon, and defeating TAN.
Wings
Start with the wings, allowing you to cross gaps in the dungeon.
Find the wings by using BEE's brand in the dungeon.
Lillie
Begin the game from Lillie's chapter.
Reach Lillie's chapter. Reach the end of Gray's dungeon without VOID status.
Cif
Begin the game from Cif's chapter.
Reach Cif's chapter. Reach the end of Lillie's dungeon.
0stRanger
Play 0stRanger.
Use the System Erasure brand in the dungeon to enter the development area. Within the development area, fall into the eclipse which appears in a room like the tree rest rooms.
Music
Sound test to listen to the game soundtrack. Also contains easter egg codes.
Find and listen to every music track in the game. This includes a song found by completing the 0stRanger IF mode, which is normally unlocked by beating the high score of 0stRanger, but you can unlock it by holding DOWN for 6 seconds on the 0stRanger title screen.
Dungeon Brands
These brands are used by rearranging the tiles on a suitable floor to match their pattern. For each of these, there is usually one obvious place to create the brand, though technically they can be created in any room where the tiles can be made to match, especially where breakable glass/ice tiles appear. B053 is particularly versatile: a guide exists for entering LEV's brand in B053 to skip more than 100 floors at once. The stairs tile must be removed to complete a brand.

Dungeon brands cannot be entered on the "engrave your brand" screen. They will usually have a special message when they are rejected.

18 tiles. The memory cube is found here. Exits to B025.
Mural in B001, but also given as a hint by the game after you reach the end of Gray's dungeon in VOID status.
EUS / B053
23 tiles. Here you find a seal that tells you that you can push the idol guarding Tail's weakness 23 times, then wait for 23 seconds. Exits to B055.
The murial in B029 is damaged and only shows a partial brand. An egg in B053 gives a hint that Tail's tail can be seen throughout this area. By taking a screenshot of each appearance of the tail, piecing them together, and matching against the black tiles of the partial brand, we can reconstruct the completed brand.
BEE / B067
19 tiles. The wings are found here. Exits to B071.

MON / B089
21 tiles. Here there is a message on the wall. "MON WAS HERE." It lists 5 floors, and a locust amount for each floor. If you can reach each floor while holding at least this many locusts, MON will sell you information there. Exits to B111.
The mural in B085 is damaged, but you can see 1 and 0 digits through the crack to complete the brand. You can push the wall several times to break the wall and see the whole brand in 1 and 0 form.
TAN / B137
22 tiles. The sword is found here, as well as TAN herself. Exits to B140.
Mural in B113.
GOR / B157
17 tiles. An egg gives a hint that the last 2 digits of the floor number can be modified. Also a seal here tells you to grant GOR's request and bring them peace. Exits to B0162.
The mural in B141 is half-destroyed, but which half is destroyed depends on which side you look at. By examining both sides, you can construct the complete brand.
LEV / B179
16 tiles. The chest here is empty. Exits to B181.

CIF / B223
15 tiles. An egg here hints that we should eliminate the 3 traitorous void lords. To open the chest, which contains 99 locusts, push the unfinished LEV statue into the line with the others. Exits to B224.
The mural in B197 is blocked, but the egg states that it has already been carved. To find CIF's brand room, we must notice that using the stairs on B222 skips directly to B224. The egg in GOR's brand room hints at how: we can access the status bar at the bottom of the screen in B224, allowing us to change to room B223 if we have exactly 23 locusts to swap its number tile with.

0 tiles. Requires ADD's rod to build this brand.

Your Brand / ?
This refers to the brand you engraved to start the game; the image shown is only one possibility. The easiest way to enter this is to engrave a brand that is the same as ADD's brand, but with one tile moved, so you can enter it in B023. This will take you to a special room others have called the "womb" room with a strange sculpture that will say the same things are the eggs found throughout the dungeon. Touching it 23 times and then waiting will show a spooky image and close the game.
You get to choose this brand for yourself.
System Erasure / B023
18 tiles. Enters the developer area, for some commentary and bonus content.
Shown when you complete the DIS brand route.
No Way / ?
12 tiles. A puzzle image of Bee.
This brand can be seen in the Reveal Trailer next to the words ENDLESS DESPAIR written in the game's alphabet. This room can alternatively be accessed by using the wings to bypass CIF's statue at the end of the development area (entered via the System Erasure brand).

Secret Special Brands

These brands can be entered on the "engrave your brand" screen, but won't unlock a permanent reference image like the others.

Added by 2024-4-2 update. Was first discovered by a community effort. A special NPC may appear in different places after you've reached the developer room once. It looks like the white doppelgänger, but has 1 white pixel on its square face identifying one tile of the brand. However, only 1 tile is revealed per each save file. See: this discussion.
Cross
Same as EX brand above, but may have slightly altered dialog later on to mock you for datamining?
Added by 2024-4-2 update, labelled "debugmode" in the game's code.
Z
It appears to have no special function. It will be accepted as "your" brand if tried.
Found in one of the game's texture files. The artwork for it looks identical to one seen in the Reveal Trailer, but with the brand altered.

In Your Brand, you need to touch the sculpture 24 times for the image to pop up instead of the 23 and wait

@gooeyPhantasm I agree that EX should be listed first. I've amended this, and also improved both their descriptions. When I initially added them, I knew less about what they do, and I hadn't managed to get very far into EX mode. As for your personal opinion that this content is irrelevant, I really don't agree, sorry, and I made sure to explain their source clearly in the discovery column, so there is no misrepresentation of where they come from.

@rainwarrior As far as I know, the Cross brand only exists as a honeypot for dataminers, and should at least be listed before the EX brand--players have joined our Discord server and asked about its changes because it is listed first here. Moreover, I don't see why a guide would need datamined content in the first place.

@gooeyPhantasm I don't see a problem with including those two items, but if the developer would like me to remove something, it would be very easy for them to say so directly, and I would be happy to oblige. Devs do have the power to edit guides, as well.

It's probably better to not include datamined brands like the Cross and the Z. The developers don't have a hard and fast rule against datamining unused things, but have frowned upon it in the past (most of the community takes a similar stance). Thank you!

@Pirate's Piggy I think that's just the same area you reach if you bypass the stairs at the end of a voided run, you end up in a white space that eventually leads to a head. There is an option to erase your save game there, but I have not taken it.

If you have 99 locusts Switching the 99 with the 24 in B224 takes you to a weird place and at the end of it there's a statue at the end. I don't know if it's the development area or not.

Oh, I didn't actually read what you said before... you can get the music brand legit in 1.1.0 by clearing EX mode instead of clearing IF.
