Overview
Fairbanks is the second largest city in Alaska, US. It is located in the centre of the state and around 32,700 people live there.
The city was founded in 1901 as a trading post. Gold was soon found in the area, attracting many miners and spurring an era of a quick growth. In the present, the city's economy is one of the tourist centres of the state. It is also quite well connected - it boasts MACS (Metropolitan Area Commuter System) bus network with 8 lines and 15 buses, one international airport, and a train station of the Alaska Railroad's system.
This map includes the entirety of the city, all of its airports, and a permanent rail line representing both the Alaska Railroad lines leading to the city and the Fairbanks Depot station.
