using base build queues is a crucial part in the game, as unused minerals get put in to the next build in the queue

you can build sensor +25 % defence bonus on a square and then build base on it and get +25 % defence bonus

bunker + air base can both be on same square with enhancement + sensor

none combat units get -50 in combat -
giveing unit armour makes them combat = x2 cost to build

none combat units get -50 in combat -
giveing unit hypnotic trance +50% vrs psi = x1.5 cost to build

bunkers gives 50% defence

fungus gives 50% defence vrs human units

rocky gives 50% defence vrs units

mobile units get 25% defence in smooth or rolling

infanty gets +25% to attacking a base

base + bunker 25% defence vrs units

moral + support effects military units

every unit moral lvl gives 12.5% bonuse to combat
probe teams are all moral based combat

each citizen cost 2 food in up keep

sea base starts with pressure dome = recycling tanks

building aquifers adds +1 energy a square

you get 1 eco damage for every mineral above 9 in a base
ie 10 = 1 eco dam - 14 = 5 eco dam

golden age if you have = two or more talents than workers then you get + 2 growth + 1 economy for that base

the 8 volcano squares normally you cant put farms on them,
but if you do road+farm+mine or road+farm+solar terraform option then it will put farms on them
volcano squares are quite often rocky, so terraform level to put farms on them

the center of the volcano normally cant be terraform,
but if you do terraform option road+farm+mine or road+farm+solar you can terraform the center

thermal boreholes 6 minerals 6 energy with right tech
rivers do add +1 energy to thermal boreholes
terraform raise lvl stops thermal boreholes being built

fungus squares with max tech gives 2 food 3 minerals 3 energy
Harvesting resources from fungus depends on the discovery and utilization of Centauri technologies:
+1 Nutrient each for Centauri Ecology and Centauri Psi
+1 Mineral each for Centauri Genetics, Matter Transmission, and Threshold of Transcendence
+1 Energy each for Centauri Meditation, Secrets of Alpha Centauri, and Temporal Mechanics
rivers dont add +1 energy to fungus

forest squares give 1 food 2 minerals 1 energy
treefarm upgrades forest squares to give 2 food 2 minerals 1 energy
hybrid forest upgrades forest squares to give 3 food 2 minerals 2 energy
rivers do add +1 energy to forest squares

disband units at base get 50% of build minerals cost
formers cost 14 minerals to build
colony pod is 24 minerals to build
recycling tanks cost 32 minerals to build
sea pod is 56 minerals to build

industrial automation for supply crawler
supply crawler has no up keep cost
supply crawler cost 24 minerals to build, if disband then give full mineral cost back
supply crawler can commence 1 nutrient or 1 mineral or 1 energy convoy from its home base to another base
supply crawler can be be assign to secret project to add minerals and is used up
supply crawler can be be assign to prototype development to add minerals and is used up

basic secret project take 164 minerals to build
advance secret project take 235 minerals to build

can normaly support 2 troops as police and 2 formers with police state
social psych + doctorine moblilty + doctorine loyalty for police state

Centary Ecology for Weather Paradigm project is super good get it first for your faction
Increases terraforming speed by 50% for all tasks except for Remove Fungus
Your formers may build Condensors and Boreholes, and may raise/lower terrain, even if you have not yet discovered the appropriate technologies

nice trick in Alpha Centauri
is that you can build thermal boreholes next to each other i do this in
Sid Meier's - Alpha Centauri - Let's Play Ep.3 - claiming the island - no commentary
in alien crossfire they fixed this

the other trick is drill to aquifers on mass i use 36 formers do this 37min in
Sid Meier's - Alpha Centauri - Let's Play Ep.4 - Increasing Faction power - no commentary
