A few tips on how to improve at MX BIKES.
1.
FIND SOME SETTINGS.
This is maybe the most important point i can make, this will make your enjoyment of the game so
much better than trying to fight the standard settings.
I copied Lynds settings from his settings video and then have made some adjustments to fit how
i play, get used to his settings first though before you go changing things unless you are sure of
what the changes do.
The above doesn't really apply to the "Riding Aids" section, use what you need to improve but as
you do improve you will want to consider turning off most of the Riding Aids one at a time.

2.
GET THE OEM BIKES INSTALLED.
You do this by going to https://mxb-mods.com/oem-bike-pack and make sure to download the
FULL PACK, including both bikes and tyres.

This video shows you how to install the oem pack you downloaded.

3.
DO NOT USE AUTO GEARS.
For some reason it is rubbish, it is pretty unusable in my opinion.
If like me you never thought you would be able to make the switch it isn't as hard as you might
think, give it a try, if you are struggling you don't really need to go above 4th gear on any bike
other than the 125s.
Just do a few laps only using 2nd & 3rd gear, i promise you you will be shocked at the extra
control you will have just by being in the
correct gear and having power on hand, you will see improvements very quickly.

4.
GET A SUSPENSION SETUP.
This will not be liked by many and is maybe the least required, but why struggle when you can
get a decent "base setup" for free.
I tried a couple of setups from Discord and they immediately improved both my lap times and
riding consistency.
I got mine from "JP Suspension Server" they have free setups for both MX & SX, lots of others
all said they had free setups but none actually did.

5.
PRACTICE WITH A PURPOSE.
What do i mean by practice with purpose, if you want to improve then it will happen faster if you
practice with some aim.
This for me is a few different things Probably the best for new riders is learning to ride the ruts
and berms, this will improve your riding overall for a few reasons.
It teaches you the speeds/limits that are required to ride the berms and ruts, this is likely to be
much slower than you are attempting when beginning.
Learning how to rail the ruts and berms will make you a much more consistent rider and faster
will come eventually. You need to ride the tracks with the aim of being consistent and smooth,
not with being fast, fast will come later.

Once you have some consistency learn to use lean, I did this by riding the yz125 around Eersel
mx, a very bumpy sand track that is not easy to ride fast at first, i found using the lean is needed
to get up to speed on the sand tracks especially.

6.
STOP HOTLAPPING.
If your intentions are to take part in the online racing then hotlapping is probably going to hurt
your racing overall, you may get a good qualifying times but you will probably be lacking in
consistency to place well in the races, try to also practice just riding for consistency from
time to time, try to get 7 laps in without falling, again just try to practice with some purpose.
Falling is usually slower than taking it easy but being consistent.
