Introduction

I suddenly discovered this trick while playing. I haven't seen anything about it on the internet, so I'm sharing it with you.

How it works

Requirements

For this trick works, you're need to playing the game using a controller and have at least one key for a locker that you haven't opened yet.

It is extremely important to follow the steps exactly as described without pressing any additional keys (always mouse followed by joystick).

First step

Select the Locker you want to open USING THE MOUSE.

Second step

Select the locker that you have the available key to open USING THE JOYSTICK

Third step

Press the E key to confirm USING THE KEYBOARD.

You will notice that you will pick up the item from the selected locker with the mouse and not the locker that should be opened due to the use of the key. You can repeat this process several times, being careful not to move more than necessary with the mouse and joystick.

Item recomendations

Money

The first item I recommend is the Diamond Plate, which can be found in the J4 locker and can be sold for 500,000.

Gambling

I think the most important items are the cheat items. With these items you can make a lot of money and do some completionist achievements more easily. Since you can't open all the lockers to do the trick, it's important that you get all the important items and leave the worst ones locked (like the C5 locker).

Using this trick you can get infinite money by selling the items you've obtained. You Always will win in Mahjong, gambling and casino mini games etc.

the ultimate cheese is, so long as you don't move your mouse, you can repeat the 2nd step and 3rd step and get multiple diamond plates, so long as your "send to item box" screen doesn't open up

I agree that getting items one by one is tedious, but just having a way to get them more than once makes the effort worth it. I believe they help you achieve the 'completionist' achievement by using the special items to get easy wins.

btw I loved playing Pocket Circuit building my little cars and cheering for them to win is so cool. I also really enjoyed Mahjong

since I already know how to play, but the range of things you can do in this game makes me want to learn everything.

Pulling a bunch of items today for the minigames, and going too quickly seems to make it mess up sometimes. So if anyone has problems making this work: take a breath and slow down, it's not a race, save that enthusiasm for Pocket Circuit.

@cupcakes6489 I found out that you don't have to hold the mouse button down (in fact, trying to do so messed it up more for me), it's simpler than that. Though at this point, I don't even remember what I was originally doing wrong that made me start troubleshooting this.

1. Open the locker UI, whether by keyboard or controller. Be careful to not double-tap the interact key or button, lest you open a locker on accident.
2. W/mouse, hover over the locker you want something from.
3. W/controller, navigate to an unopened locker you have a key for.
4. Open the unopened locker w/keyboard. Don't move the selection with kb+m at this step, just hit E.

Using E for #1, or d-pad for #3 both work. But using WASD for #2 doesn't work, you MUST use the mouse for that part. This trick does still work, but I'd recommend saving before opening lockers in case you mess up.

tl;dr follow OP's instructions like a robot and you're good to go

WAIT OMG I JUST FIGURED IT OUT I WAS DOING IT WRONG THE WHOLE TIME

I wasn't holding the mouse button down while I was selecting the lockers, and that was what was tripping me up. I am so sorry about all this!! Again, thank you so much for being so willing to help me even though I was just being stupid!! Thank you!!!

Oh is that so? Strange... If that's the case, it must be that I changed something in the settings that messed up the results, or that maybe it's my computer running at a different speed than yours? You saying it still works gives me a little hope, but I'm gonna have to experiment on my end to figure this mystery out still lol

Cupcakes, I downloaded the game and checked on SteamDB, and the game hasn't received any recent updates. I tested the trick myself, and it works properly...
