Part 1: Force Feedback settings for Moza R5 wheel via config file
By Foxhaunter
In this guide i'd like to share my settings for my MOZA R5 wheel for WRC Generations.
I list my optimized settings via config file of the game and second the settings for
your MOZAPitHouse Software.

1. Introduction
In this first part i'd like to share my force feedback settings for WRC - Generations.
I'm using a Moza R5 steering wheel. Because of my first bad impressions with this
specific combination i was pretty annoyed of the game. Force Feedback didn't feel
good at all. Slipping felt like an earthquake whilst other details were too soft in my
opinion.

To give this game a fair chance i was keen to find a setting which might work and
i could finally enjoy this game. Basically you can make smaller adjustements inside
the game. Unfortunately some important details are missing. For this reason i took
a look inside the config file, which is connected to all specific force feedback signals.

In your installation folder (usally something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\WRC Generations - The FIA WRC Official Game\Common\Settings) there should be a config file called InputSoftwareFFBConfig.cfg .

Before doing any changes it is most urgently recommended to make a backup file of the original, unchanged file!

For this you can simply copy the InputSoftwareFFBConfig.cfg and rename it
into something like InputSoftwareFFBConfig_BACKUP.cfg . If anything goes wrong,
or your game doesn't work as supposed to, erase your corrupted file and rename your backupfile.

To make any changes to the force feedback settings open this config file with any
text editor you like. Windows editor for example is perfectly good for this. Following
i listed my complete config file, which you can copy and paste into yours and safe it.
The variables are pretty obvious in which they're supposed to do, so i didn't add
comments in here.
Remember that the changes only take effect, after you saved the file and restarted your game!

You can change any of these settings if you like. After several hours of testing
and adjusting, i came to this specific combination. Maybe there are some
future changes, but for a first force feedback setting this seems quite good.
If you have any questions or recommendations feel free to post them.

3. MOZAPitHouse settings
Furthermore you should check your MOZAPitHouse software and create a specific
Preset for WRC Generations. Here are my settings (MOZA R5 Bundle) for this preset:

Basic Settings:
Maximum Steering Angle 400 °
Road Sensitivity 10
Game Force Feedback Intensity 80 %
Maximum Wheel Speed 100 %
Wheel Spring Strength 10 %

Advanced Settings:
Maximum Output Torque Limit 100 %
Wheel Friction 20 %
Speed-dependent Damping 0 %

FFB Effect Equalizer:
All frequencies, except the HF Vibration (0 %), are set to 100 %.

Oh thank you so much, I was looking for this.

These settings work well with moza R3, I can finally compare wrc generation with dirt rally 2.

Maybe you also have good settings for Forza Motorsport or PC2? :)

Sure. Might take a little bit of time. I'm using the "P" button on my MOZA wheel on the upper right near "gearshift+"

Thanks for sharing. Just got a Moza R3 and am trying to find best config. However the software has been updated since your post (current version is 1.3.1.50) so things looks quite different now, and i thought it would be great if u could update your guide as well to match.
Besides i have a question about hand-brake: do u have a physical hand-brake, and if not which of the wheel buttons would u assign to hand-brake for max convenience?

Thanks, I'm getting better at steering! But I changed the settings a bit for myself. - https://rutube.ru/video/d5dd2c450539bc2d0e64f4cb576a9099/

What would be the in-game settings sorry if I'm missing something

Thank you so much for posting that. You just made me re-download the game after the frustration of the awful FFB
