Odakyu 60000 Series / 小田急60000形

The 60000 Series (60000形) is an EMU operated by Odakyu Electric Railway on Limited Express "Romancecar" services.

Developed for the purpose of extending Romancecar services onto the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line, the 60000 series serves both business and leisure travellers from Central Tokyo to Kanagawa Prefecture. the type is composed of 10-car formations with the ability to split into 6-car and 4-car sets. Manufacture of the series was sporadic from 2007-2015, replacing previous generation "Romancecar" types as required. In total, 42 cars were produced. The 60000 series operates from either Kita-Senju on the Chiyoda Line or Shinjuku (terminus of the Odakyu Odawara Line) towards destinations on the Odawara and Enoshima lines, as well as Fujisan services on the JR Gotemba Line.

Maximum design speed is used, operational speeds are 110km/h on Odakyu Lines, and 80km/h on the Chiyoda Line.
