Before transferring the save file, make sure you've actually unlocked the new characters. In the main menu go to "Gearbits" and see if the characters are unlocked. You can unlock new characters by clearing the game.

The save file is stored in your Gear Angels install folder. The path varies depending on your operating system.

To get to the install folder:

• Right click on the game name in your library.
  
• Select "Properties..."
  
• Select "Installed Files"
  
• Click "Browse" to open the games install directory.

The save file is named "Gear angels.save"

On Windows and Linux, the save file is in the "Gear Angels_Data" folder
On Mac, the file is in: "Gear Angels.app/Contents/Resources/Data"

You can also find the save location from the in-game settings menu.

Once you've located the save file, copy it.

Now that you have the save file, navigate to the Gearbits install folder. You can use the method described earlier to get to the installation folder.

You must paste the file into the "Gearbits_Data" folder.

On Windows and Linux, the folder is in the install directory as "Gearbits_Data"
On Mac, the directory is in: "Gearbits.app/Contents/Resources/Data"

Once you've pasted the save file, you should see a new "Toggle list" window on the loadout screen. Click the button, press F or the south controller button to toggle the extra characters menu.

If the save file changes in Gear Angels, you must transfer it to Gearbits again to see the changes.
