For the game to run, follow these steps:

• Close the game if you already have it running
  
• Go to the settings on the steam launcher page for Flywrench
  
• Go to Properties...
  
• Go to Compatibility
  
• Check the box for "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool"
  
• Use the drop down box to select Proton 7.0-6

The game seems to be working normally for me after this.
