This mod in a few words helps us to improve and have more stability in terms of netcode in Dark Souls.
To put it more simply... It fixes the connection errors of Dark Souls in the sense of avoiding and improving the connection of hitboxes (what occupies our character inside the game) and how this interacts with the invaders, in a normal invasion, comes a host / invader and has a free backstab when you are in front, or on the contrary and sometimes it is funny, but it is not when the one who is backstabbed is you...
So, this is what the mod was created for!

Possibly it sounds in your head that a mod in an online game sounds like cheating, it is, but it depends on the case and the type of mod, in dark souls remastered does not serve the case, since the anti-cheat if we could call it so... It doesn't help much against clearly visible hackers, so just git gud.
Now, the mod disables the Dark Souls anti-cheat so it would be useful for those who make characters with Cheat Engine[github.com] and can use it with more tranquility, however, does not mean that disabling the anti cheat you can use hacks or third party programs that give advantages, better uninstall the game if you are looking for a mod for that...
Also it works together with players who do not have the mod, so do not worry about looking for invasion or be invaded only by those who have the PvP Overhaul mod, it works with all modded / unmodded players.

I would recommend installing it from nexus mod, but it's faster through github Github - PvP Overhaul[github.com].
Unzip the contents of the zip into your DARK SOULS REMASTERED folder to install (so d3d11.dll should be in the same folder as the game exe). If a command window pops up on game start, the mod is installed.

If you download Dark Souls by default way=

To uninstall or disable the mod, remove d3d11.dll. I also recommend deleting or restoring your old save on uninstall, to prevent a possible ban (remember, is 99.9% safe, but there is a 0.1% chance...) now that the mod is disabled.
