Check that Windows isn't damaged by following these steps

Important - Don't type the " " marks around the commands below, just what is inside the " " marks.

  • Type "CMD" into the search box on your Start Menu.
  • You should see an app called "Command Prompt".
  • Press CTRL, SHIFT and ENTER together.
  • When the black "Command Prompt" window opens, type the command "sfc /scannow".
  • A system file check will now take place.
  • It might take a few minutes depending on the speed of your PC.
  • If damaged system files are found, they will usually be fixed automatically.
