Beskrivning
As the Mk II series was deemed a failure due to the design flaw of its side-mounted Blasters, EuroSpace Industries developed the ES Luxembourg Mk III class soon after. The class expands to 4 ships, each with a different approach to EuroSpace's specialized interceptor frigate design, which offers relatively low damage output for the size, but excels at speed and maneuverability, encouraging tactics like orbiting or flanking to defeat opponents of sometimes more than twice the size. The Luxembourg Mk III class is thus well suited for the role of a military escort.

ES Luxembourg-A Mk III: Speed 96m/s, Crew 46 souls, Cost €331.900,-
The A-variant is the slowest and only offers PD protection on its side, but is also the most affordable.

ES Luxembourg-B Mk III: Speed 107m/s (~117m/s boost), Crew 52 souls, Cost €408.300,-
The B-variant is similar to A, but focuses on explosive speed with the introduction of 2 Boost-Thrusters, rendering it the fastest of its class. It also upgrades its side thrusters for faster orbiting.

ES Luxembourg-C Mk III: Speed 112m/s, Crew 56 souls, Cost ~€452.000,-
The C-variant is arguably the most combat-effective design of the class. It adds 4 PD-guns and extra side-shields on either wing and is thus very defendable while also offering good consistent speed.

ES Luxembourg-D Mk III: Speed ~100m/s, Crew 82 souls, Cost €544.750,-
The more heavily armored D-variant is reminiscient of the earliest Lisboa designs, with its Heavy Blasters and point defense sitting on either wing beneath the bubble of a light Shield Neck. It performs superbly vs missile swarms, but the weight of all its features make the vessel more sluggish.
